What I would really like to see Apple improve is with the stainless model, is offer a brushed stainless 316L. I already understand there’s a titanium, but I prefer the weight of the stainless preferably, and Apple was on target with the gold stainless being a nice addition, but I would like to see some type of brushed stainless casing.

Just watched the video from MR and based on that, I'll probably look for a S5. Sleep tracking, blood O2 levels and atrial fib detection are not high on my list of wants & needs. But even with that moving from my S3 to a S5 should be a nice upgrade.

If that is the case then the battery life should improve with more efficient processing and software. It is already the best for battery of all the AW series(3), that said, the 6 would have to equal or better battery life, can't have the latest and greatest having less.

Holy cow. Can you imagine a Series 3 sized battery with the newer more efficient processor? That thing would last 2 or 3 days!

Battery sizes 42/44mm:
Series 3 - 341mAh
Series 4 - 292mAh
Series 5 - 296mAh

Most likely, especially if there’s improved battery, is thinner and has new health features, such as the rumored blood oxygen levels.

S3/S4 owners are the Target for the S6. If you look at the market right now, the market is absolutely saturated with S4’s even S5’s for sale. If one doesn’t want all the health tracking features, then I probably opt for a S5 if you can find a lucrative discount. That said, if Apple makes battery improvements to the S6, [As in the rating well over 18 hours], then that would be worth upgrading alone Given that’s been the most requested feature since the first GEN watch.

I currently have a series 3 with GPS/Cellular that works just fine.

I've owned 3 pieces of Fitbit garbage from the high end on down. They were only accurate /part or most of the time with regard to heart rate and step count compared to hospital grade equipment. I won't even go into their lousy customer service.

I have a 3rd party sleep app on the Apple watch. When the series 6 become available I will purchase it depending on the new features. Though I am an Apple fanboy the old saying is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I don't always have to have the latest and greatest. I stopped that foolishness when I retired after 45 years in the IT field. I'm really hoping for the blood/oxygen sensor but that seems unlikely at this point. Oh well...wait and see.

I have a Series 3 with buttons that are as sticky AF and I can't seem to loosen them up. I don't know if it's the swimming I do, but other than that it still works fine so I'm not in a real rush. I'll probably hope for some Black Friday deal and then I'll upgrade.

Depends if the new features will be available in my country. Still waiting for EKG.

Fitbits main advantage against the Apple Watch is that they have cheaper/more viable options at $200 or less, and consumers like ‘cheap‘ when it comes to work devices on your wrist. But as you said, their quality standards are subpar at best and some segments of the products. The Apple Watch is dominant, but the Fitbit still has a wide righty of prices that really have a hold on the consumer market.

Had S0, currently on S4. Would like always on display, but would have to see what was added from the 5 and what the 6 would offer over my 4.

I like my AW5, but not sure if I’ll automatically upgrade. Of all the medical components I need as a diabetic, its glucose readings. I’m praying they find a way to accurately measure glucose through the skin (and communicate with an insulin pump) then I could dump an inserted wearable glucose sensor.

I automatically upgrade. I own AAPL stocks so I keep buying Apple products. I thank all of you for being Apple consumers.

The good thing for those wanting a secondhand deal is the Apple Watch loses so much if it’s value. Looking back I probably should have bought a series 4 rather than the 5 as the AOD is nice to have but a battery killer. Right now I’d probably get a series 5 instead of the 6 and take advantage of the low cost. I’ve seen S5’s hardly worn going for £250-300 and stainless models too.

The other good thing about the watch is aesthetically they have hardly changed so nobody really knows what model you’ve bought.
I just couldn't buy a second hand watch. And that's pre covid!

So will either go for a new Series 5 or 6. It will be my first :apple:Watch. Just trying to decide between cellular or not.

Don't really want to spend the extra £££ but don't want buyers remorse.

If you like taking spontaneous pictures of things you see then you don’t need cellular, you will always find a way to have your phone with you.
