Perhaps this thread should read: if you bought your iMac 15-30 days ago do you feel like a pillock?

Basically if people feel aggrieved then it is purely self-inflicted. In the internet age there is no reason to be so ill-informed. Enjoy what you bought - it's the same machine it was last week. And if you can't then try growing up a little rather than rattling your cage. Look before you leap, right?

If you don't feel aggrieved then good for you.

I am so happy with the iMac i bought three weeks ago. I was going to get a refurb anyway for the extra savings and these won't be on the refurb site for months.

I bought mine about 30 days ago. I don't worry about it. I needed my iMac when I bought it. And there's always going to be something better coming along the pipe. Plus my $999 refurb only dropped $50 so there's not much to complain about anyway.

I should complain though seeing as how you got $45 off $300. They should reward customers that don't bitch and moan instead. :D

Good philosophy.

How do you think I feel... My new iMac came on Monday. Like it was delivered at around the same time the new ones were announced. I had the option of leaving it sealed and sending it back but thought I wasn't going to lose any sleep over it - an increase in FSB speed, more RAM (which is cheap as chips anyway!) and SLIGHTLY quicker processor wasn't enough to make me want to return something i've wanted for ages, so I just cracked it open and am loving it so far :) Bought the additional RAM for $20 on eBay - not exactly a bank buster!

If I could have taken it to my most local Apple retail store and swapped it that dat I might have done it, but the lady on the phone said that as it was bought online it had to be returned to them before they'd send me another.

Whoa!

Simmer down! I didn't mean to open a can of worms. Let me clarify what I am trying to say. I love my 24" 2.8 Ghz iMac. I have waited for a couple of years to get one and would not change anything. However, prior to me buying my Mac i did not search MacRumors.com for any "RUMORS" about what was coming out. Instead, I went straight to the source ie. Apple. I probably spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with a sales representatives to discuss everything before i bought it. i specifically asked if there was going to be an upgrade anytime soon and they all gave me the same answer, "oh, you have plenty of time." I feel 30 days is not plenty of time. With that said, I still love my iMac and always will. If I can buy a $15 t-shirt at Old Navy and it goes on sale for $9 30 days after, I can get money back. All I am saying is that 15 days is pretty short for a $2,000 purchase.

oh yeah, I'm not upset about the new 3.06, they could have made a freaking 52" for all i care. I upset about the price drop of the refurbished 24". That might explain more.
