Well, if it was a try for sarcasm, perhaps one could construe it as slightly humorous if it weren't for the fact that it very closely resembled something only the most narrowminded fanboys of this site would utter. Unfortunately there are quite a lot of those people around and have been for the last 20-25 years, so the laughs one gets from reading one-sided narrowminded logical fallacies has kind of worn off by now.
iPhones are SO common now that it's not a status symbol to have one. It shouldn't cause any anger, or envy.

People attack my iPod touch all the time.
I then get very defensive and start defending my iPod, iPhones, and Apple.
I believe it is more of fact than opinion if they don't have any logical reasons, don't know what they're talking about, you have to correct them many times.

everyone i know doesnt care when i use mine and if anything they want to see it. i never get in arguments about apple nor would i ever cross that bridge and start arguing for apple

No, I just like to make fun of the situation and let them know that since the iphone is so crap, I won't let them browse the internet while we're waiting on the queue, or when they need to check something out and their crappy wap browser just can't handle it.

Well there are a lot of people that want to see it and think it's amazing, but there are also those people that dislike it.
For me, it depends on WHY.
I mean, I don't get insulted either way, but I will argue for the phone if there is an argument to be had. (And the other way if need be, as some can attest to.)
But if someone has a sound reason, then I don't argue.
In fact, I just got done talking to someone who is looking for a new phone of the iPhone's ilk.
He said he wants the G1.
I said why?
He said because he has everything Google and wants a phone that will synch easily to Google's services and he doesn't care about music one bit on his phone.
I told him the G1 was an excellent choice.
