I still wear mine everyday and got it when it first came out.

Im still waiting on a version to come out worth upgrading to..

Im hoping the next AW is a redesign.

To me the speed bump in the newer ones and the better water resistance isnt worth the upgrade. I been taking showers and swimming with my S0 since i got it no issues.

Stores refuse to let me trade in my S0 and some only offer $60

but my S0 still runs the latest software so im still using it daily waiting for a better watch..

anybody else feel the same?

Still have mine and wear it every day since it’s initial launch.
It’s been everywhere with me and like you it’s had it’s fair share of water.
It’s never let me down and apart from a few cosmetic scratches on the stainless steel case it’s as good as new.

However, with Watch OS5 coming soon and knowing Apple will not support the Series 0, I now know I will have to look at the next new watch.

My wife and I still have ours since launch day. Have been trying to hold out. I'm certain the Series 4 will be the clincher...

There'll be some people still running about with a $17,000 AW0. It's quite sad really. Apple should have allowed them to upgrade the internals or something

yea my wife just tried to surprise me and upgrade our watches but they only offered her $60 for it she thought she would get more. But i told her im glad you didnt because its not worth it for us S0 owners.

that is really sad maybe apple should of let them upgrade to the regular watch at no charge. Only thing those ppl can do is hold onto em and hope they fetch a pretty penny in the future.

Not sure I have a lot of sympathy for someone who spent $17K on a device with a known limited lifespan, especially first generation anything. It makes me wonder how they managed to have $17K to blow on an item of planned obsolesce, in the first place. One could purchase a really nice watch for $17K.

true i guess thats why they killed off the line quickly just didnt make sense.

My youngest sister still has the AWS0 that I purchased at launch although she said it is getting slow. She did say she is getting the AWS4 with LTE when it is released though

Sold first my first Gen. once I experienced the speed increases, improved 50 M water resistance, and brighter display With the new models, I no longer really cared for the first Gen watch. My First Gen was not a great experience with WatchOS 4.

The redesign is coming and its due for a refresh.

If the AW0 and AW3 have same or very similar form factor, I don’t see why Apple couldn’t do a service where the remove the AW0 old tech out of the gold chassis and replace with newer stuff, set for a fee of $1000 or so....

The gold might be worth more than the trade-in value

Still wear my S0 every day. I'm finding some of the apps slow - the workout app takes about 10 seconds before it will let me start. And the battery is not what it was - often am running on fumes in the evening.

I hate the idea of buying a new watch that looks exactly like the old one, so I'm also hoping the S4 will look different.

Still going strong. I'm sure I'd have speed envy if I spent time with a newer version. I tend to charge twice a day now. I'm sure some of it is battery life and some of it apps using more juice.

I've pencil-ed in a replacement this cycle, however I would not say it's a foregone conclusion.

I still have my AW0 and still love it. Pisses me off that it continues to work so well as I’d love to buy a cellular model.

I keep promising myself a new one as a reward but I keep moving the goalposts . . . .;)

If the rumors are true, the S0 is terminal at OS4. The S4 is rumored to keep the form factor but have a 15% bigger display. I'm looking at upgrading if it's true.

I have mine, and use it every day. Keep closing circles. I still get a kick out of dictating texts into the watch. On days with lots of exercise there's not enough battery, but otherwise still works OK.

I still have mine that I bought the first week they came out. Still does the basics fine (time calendar fitness alarm text notifications timer etc). Still works about as well as it did on day one using WOS4. (Pokey but not deadly slow). With the big exceptional being battery life. I have to charge it for an hour during the day when I’m at my desk for a while.

I will update this year to whatever the latest is even if it just a small bump up. I like the WOS 5 features and am growing tired of the slowness and poor battery life. Series 0 has done me well but now feels like an old Mac that, while still perfectly functional, you’ve kept one year too long.

I think what others are finding out that are still keeping their first GEN Apple Watches, is that they’re approaching over 3 1/2 years of usage and the battery is likely to the point where it might be new of replacing or barely holds a charge, as some have mentioned in other threads. And then when you factor the cost of the battery replacement versus the first Gen Apple Watch cost as a whole, it simply isn’t worth it.

Exactly - well put. That plus the inherent slowness

I gave my AWS0 I got on launch day to my sister when I got the AWS3 on launch day and she is complaining about the battery life getting progressively worse

I picked up a Series3 GPS on sale on EBay a few weeks ago to replace my S0. Got such a good deal on it I kinda felt bad about trying to sell the S0 so I just gave it to a friend to tide him over until the S4 comes out. He's been wanting one and he's using it to test the waters. He likes it, but as many people have already said, battery life on a 3+ year old watch is pretty bad.

...totally agree with the above!

I'm still using my 42mm Space Grey S0 watch and its still working totally fine. I wear mine from 6:30am (when I get up) til around 6pm when I get in from work, and battery is still always way over 50%, when it goes back on my nightstand, ready to be worn the next day.

I mainly use mine for answering texts and viewing notifications so I don't keep looking at my phone when at work. Yes the newer watches may be quicker but for the money they cost, you get the same exact looking watch, which may be faster but for me personally, its just not worth the upgrade as my S0 still works like it did on day 1!

Unless they release a watch which looks majorly different and has different features, I'll be sticking with my S0.....

Wear my 42 SS S0 everyday.
Other than being a little laggy and scratched its the same as the day I got it.
Battery lasts all day with 30% left.
Waiting for a step change in AW tech (S4?) before upgrading...
