I need to go to an Apple Store to see how I like silver against my skin. When I was buying my S8, I went with starlight because it looked better than silver.

Of course, can’t get starlight anymore. Wondering if anyone purposely chose starlight back in the day, but then upgraded to silver with the S10. Satisfied?

When I bought the Series 7 I wanted it in silver, but since it wasn't an option I bought it in starlight.

Now I bought the Series 10 and I wanted it again in starlight… In the end I bought it in silver.

I’m very happy with silver. It's a subtle change, but I'm glad to try (not by own decision..) something slightly different.

Thinking about the next watch I get, right now I wouldn't know which one to choose between the two (if both were available).

I waffled back and forth about keeping my starlight or getting the silver Series 10. In the end I chose the silver 10 and am very happy with it. Most times I liked the starlight and other times it looked too tan in certain light. I like the way the silver looks with the (few) bands I own and since my new faves are the Nike bands with the aluminum pin, I like that matchy-matchy aspect. I think I am done with any color devices and will choose silver when I replace my pink iphone next year.

I’m a silver gal for sure. I had a starlight for a short time before I bought my SS series 8, but this time I got the silver series 10. I loved the look of stainless, but in the end, just too much money for something I’m only keeping a couple years, and I was tired of the weight. The series 10 is like wearing almost nothing in comparison, and I love it.

For me, the silver just makes sense because I wear all white gold and/or sterling silver jewelry. In addition I think the silver looks better with more bands.

That's good info. When we were buying our Series 8s, going into the Apple store I was certain I'd get silver and my wife was certain she would get starlight. After trying them on, it turned out that starlight looked better against my skin tone and silver against hers.

I have found that starlight is more difficult to match with bands, per your point.

I was thinking of going with natural titanium, but also per your point, don't really want to spend that amount of $$$ for something I'll be trading in in 2-3 years.

I really should make the trek out to the Apple store ... who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with rose gold?

Just my opinion, but you can get Stainless or Titanium and keep them for more years. I always buy Stainless and upgrade every 5 years.

BTW, i’m still using my first Stainless Steel Apple Watch at home when doing gardening work. It’s almost a decade old and on the original battery which lasts about 5 hours

I wanted starlight, and was disappointed when they didn't offer it in the 10. I ended up going with the rose gold. I love it. It's subtle and soft. I'm not really a fan of the silver. The starlight was much nicer, imo.
