See if you have used the magnets on back with the case and if strong enough to hold anything?!

I have the Caudabe case and it still snaps to the MagSafe puck. Instead of 1/2” away it’s maybe 1/8” away. Easier to pull off too. But it works.

sweet, The Sheath? hmmm i wonder if it will stick to a magnet car mount.....

Just curious what y’all have seen with your sheath. I just got mine today, and it seems like the top of the case is slightly looser than the other sides of it. Do either of you notice that? I’m probably just be nit picky, but I’m curious.

Yup. Same. The top edges don’t hug the phone. Like the back is too tight and causes the case to do this \____/. I contacted Caudabe support and they said some early batches had an issue. They should send you a new case from a revised batch.

I got the Pitaka Magcase and Tech 21 Evo Check cases for my 12 pro. Both are awesome. Used to hate the Tech 21 cases, but this one is actually really nice. The bottom doesn't give all flimsy like before, and the sides are a matte finish and hugs the phone much better courtesy of the squared design. The Pitaka meanwhile is a fantastic slim case with a nice grip feel to it.

I have the sheath and it definitely hugs all corners of the phone. Fits just as well as the sheath I had for my X did.

Lucid clear had the same issue AND scratched my oldest daughter’s 12 Pro that she bought with her own earnings. Sigh. I was the one putting the case on for her so I feel bad but she’s cool about it. My Lucid clear fit so I gave her that. I do think sometimes their first batches don’t turn out well because I had one that was wonky for my 11 Pro last year. The others I got later in the year were great.

The MagSafe charger seems to work through the Lucid Clear case just fine.

Can anyone who owns the Veil for the 12 Pro tell me if the case is like previous generations where the case sides just come up to the edge of the screen? Or do they actually stick above the screen (face down protection) since the edges are flat on the iPhone now?

I liked the Veil for my 11 Pro because when you swiped off the edge you didn't hit the case edges.

Nah, that's not what it is. For stuff like this that's probably injection molded, it's either right or it's not. I got Lucid Clear, Sheath, and Veil. Lucid Clear and Veil fit awesome. My first Sheath had a bit of an issue, I contacted their customer service and they sent me a replacement. The replacement fit like a glove. They did say that there was a slight defect with some in the first batch. Anyway, I'm loving the Sheath as usual. Amazing texture. '

I gave Lucid Clear to my wife and she loves it. Not sure what's going to happen to the Veil. Love how thin it is but I much prefer the Sheath.

Oh I forgot to add, yeah it works with MagSafe. All three work fine. I'm surprised at how strong the magnet is all things considered. I was expecting less of a pull but I guess that's because the cases are really thin. But to answer your question, I wouldn't use the Apple MagSafe wallet with it or anything. Just charging is fine. Then again, I saw a YouTube video where even the MagSafe wallet fell off of a MAgSafe Apple case. #MagSafeFail

Me too. Just got my Sheath and the fit is amazing. Favorite case ever. Email their customer service if you have issues. They're really good with replacements in my experience if something is wrong.

MagSafe charger works for me on my Sheath and the "puck" stays on even if I turn my phone. Only issue is I think the MagSafe is going back to Apple. Not sure I really see the use of it. I'd rather just use a lightning cable or the existing wireless charges I have (which never had an issue to begin with).

Did your daughter get the white/silver 12 Pro? That's raw stainless steel without a coating and will get scratched just by looking at it. You can polish out the scratches though. Tell your daughter that and hopefully she's not GrumpyDaughter anymore! :) My wife got a Lucid Clear for her 12 and she's loved it. I don't see any scratches on her phone although the 12 has aluminum sides and not stainless steel so that probably helps.

Oh she wasn’t grumpy about it. She’s a sweetie. She worked so hard saving up because this was the year she wanted to upgrade her Xr because she’s gotten more interested in taking photos of the dogs and cats of her clients for them. Her Xr photos often were blurry. I felt awful being the one to scratch it trying to put something on to protect it. Argh.

I offered to trade phones with her since we got the same color and everything but she declined and said it was no big deal. And really it isn’t. I’m glad she’s not pitching a fit and demanding I send it back and order her a new one. She said if she has to stick it under a bright light to see it, it’s not worth worrying about.

Apple’s probably going to go to a brushed stainless next year. At least I hope so. It’s not scratches that are a problem. I had to handle the phones with a cloth to get them into the clear cases without smudges. It’s impossible to keep these edges looking good. Your wife is smart getting the aluminum model. I sometimes wish I’d done the same but mainly because this phone is a little heavy.

Caudabe just sent me an email and they’re going to issue a refund. It’s not clear if I have to send the case back so I’m waiting to hear about that. I did ask for instructions on how they wanted it shipped back to them.

sounds like their first batch was wrong cause they rushed to get out before launch and got demensions wrong.. lol

??? You mean how strong are the magnets? They hold it pretty well. I don’t know how many of the watts are making it through but the charge indicator works.
Ya how strong are they through the case. I have a magnetic car mount.

My case didn’t come before launch even tho I ordered it way before so I said I have to return it I already got another. They said well here is 40% off my next order. I’m like I don’t want another case I want to return this one... lol always trying to sell

absolutely not what happened. the dimensions have been available for months.
I have never got one before launch jacked up. The one year the form factor changes they happened to have manufacturing problems?! Uh huh. #****edupgate jk lol

I don’t think I’d trust it to a car mount.

With a non MagSafe case I wouldn’t trust it in a car mount. With MagSafe maybe. The magnets are strong, but not sure if it’s enough for a mount.

Those that had a sheath replacement, did Caudabe ask you to send the defective one back? If not, would you mind posting a picture of what the defective one looks like? I’m just curious if we truly have the same issue.

Caudabe did respond to me and let me know about the issue and said they’d replace mine when more navy sheaths are available in 2 weeks...
