Hi.
Where did the line start - outside of the entrance near the Pottery Barn or another entrance? Also, were they allowing you to buy 2 each?

Thanks!

Actually when I got there the mall was open. I didn't even know until another couple showed up and one went to test the doors. So the line started right at the doors to the Apple Store. I would imagine if the mall doors were locked, the line would form at the main entrance near the Pottery Barn, it's the closest entrance.

Hopefully the Asian gangs from NYC dont make their way up your way and buy them all up

There were a few Asian families in line. I'm trying to not be racist about it, some are actually genuinely buying, but all the kids had tickets too.

has anyone's carousel mall best buy reservation come in yet?

I am wondering how many shipments they have gotten?

Is it worth trying to get to the apple store early tuesday morning? have they been getting in regular shipments?

Fayetteville Target

The Target in Fayetteville, NY has a couple each of several flavors of the AT&T 3G models: black 16 GB, white 16 and 32 GB.

If you call the store's electronics department (315.637.6205), they will hold for 24 hours.

The sales associate indicated they have received shipments each day this week.

I'll post a link to the Target SKU checker later tonight. That's how I snagged mine today.

Good luck!

Fayetteville

Thanks for the posting. Just talked to Fayettville. They will only hold to closing. I live in Watkins Glen and can't get there by 10pm tonight. Another one bites the dust. I guess I keep waiting and hoping for local Target or Best Buy reservation. So close, yet so far. FRUSTRATED

two hours from me ...wont work ..... tried few local target around albany area no luck !

You guys just need to be willing to take the plunge and take a half day off from work and drive to/line up at one of the few Apple stores at like 5 AM. Honestly, I think just doing that for one morning is much easier and less stressful than looking at target and best buy every day. If you call the apple store the night before you can just ask, "will you be opening early tomorrow with a new shipment of iPads?" They will tell you if it's worth the drive or not.

Getting there at 5AM? Nope. 3 days ago I showed up at Best Buy in Crossgates Mall, Albany, NY at 10AM. They were uboxing them as I arrived. 16GB 3Gs black and 32GB white WiFi. I bought a 32GB White WiFi and smart case. No waiting in line necessary.

I think it was because I only sorta wanted one. If I wanted one REALLY bad, there probably would not have been any in stock.😀

target

I went to target in Fayetteville, NY last night talk to one of the mangers and he said that they get there orders int he morning and have it inventoried by around noon. I went to apple store this morning they had a bunch but not the one i was looking for called target at 12:30pm they had a few in. I was looking for a 16 gig wifi black but they only had white. they did have some 32gig black wifi so i decided for the upgrade. They seem to get a good flow of ipad2s daily.

I bought one online on launch day, so I'm just going to hold out until I get it. But, I did hear that the Verizon store on Glen St in Queensbury got a shipment (assuming you'd want the 3G)

target in amsterdam had them the monday after launch day. was visiting my parents in schenectady and drove to amsterdam to get one. no line, they had a few in stock. id check that store if you are in the albany area.
