i was a little disappointed but now i don't care because my 32gb 3gs served me well and i think i can last another year with 32gbs... plus i have other ipods for music and can stream from my main computer

Considering that it now Records HD? Yeah, as HD videos are going to take a lot of space. :(

Well the biggest flip cam only is 8GB (I think) which is 2 hours of HD recording, I can't imagine using much more than that at once on an iPhone.

To be fair, really apple is the only one who sets these high expectations, as stated before the Flip maxes at 8GB, and most phones only have 2GBs of onboard and usually can be extended up to 32GBs with external memory. Heck it took the zune 6 months to match the iPod touch's 64GB option.

Ehh

I was somewhat disappointed, but it's not a deal breaker to me. The biggest issue would be HD video, but I usually transfer all my video off my phone usually within a weeks period once I'm done so its not a big deal for me. I just barely scratched the edge of the 16 gig one.

Some people get stuff on there and never bother to do any type of cleanup for useless lite apps, old music, outdated movies etc.

Disappointed but not surprised. I can't even fit all my music on so I'm not even thinking about HD video. This is the only negative thing from the update for me.

This is what people who bought a 3GS and can't upgrade say...maybe when you can upgrade, there'll be a 64 GB.

I think you misunderstood me.

The discussion is about storage space on the iPhone. I meant to say 16gb was enough. I have no need for 32gb or 64gb.

It may be a want, but definitely not a need.

I'm really upset. I ran into the issue again today when I synced my phone this morning. It's killing me  Only 1GB left on my 32Gb now.

16 GB was enough for me. I only loaded music on it that i needed. I know some people like to just max out the storage space though. I only use what i need :D

Waiting for 64GB iphone 4G?

I'm impressed by the new iphone - looks good. Was a little surprised that they didn't announce a 64GB version. I can't believe they won't do it eventually - but has anyone heard anything about when a 64GB model will be available? Kind of a bummer...it looks good.

thanks!

It is obviously too cost prohibitive to put a single 64GB module in there, so they didn't. You can NOT fit 2 modules in there at all. I do NOT see Apple doing a mid cycle capacity boost to 64GB... if they did, and people bought it, they would be UBER pissed when a few months later iPhone 5 is out... Apple will do ONE update a year on phones, no more.

So to answer your question, yes I am bummed there is no 64GB version, only because the HD video will take up space, a lot of space.

Me too. I have about 50GB of music and I like to keep it fresh. Mix it up every now and then. I've had a 32GB but sold that and now I'm back down to 16 and I don't miss it really. Plus it'll save me a hundred bucks :D
