I'm not sure where you got your phone, but if you bought it an Apple Store, you have 30 days to return it, not 14.

Not sure how that works with the carrier contracts, though - at least ATT changed theirs to 14 days about this time last year. Exchange may be a different story, but will the carrier give you your eligibility back & cancel the contract even if Apple (if you bought it through Apple) takes the phone back?

I just don't understand, the silver and gold they are pretty much look the same... If weren't for the gold ring around the home button. Other than that, who cares if you have Gold or Silver they all see is white bezel. So there is no Gold or Silver only White and Black, esp. if you have a case to protect your phone. But I love Black bezel, I regret getting a white iPad Bezel. I just hate having any white around a LCD/LED screen so distracting, it makes your screen so much smaller than it is.

I dislike that Apple is making a color the focus instead of doing the work to build a significant new phone.

Enough of these warmed over models.

Fat and happy is Apple's weakness.

That's a good question. I hate to presume, for obvious reasons, but I imagine that Apple wouldn't have that policy if it would conflict with a carrier, or vice versa. I know AT&T's policy states 14 days, but I imagine that's for phones purchased through them. Otherwise, Apple would be opening up themselves for a claim against them, and AT&T would be doing the same for having inconsistent return policies. The way I understand it, if I buy an iPhone through Apple, the iPhone can be returned within 30 days with no penalties whatsoever. I could be wrong though, and again, if I have it incorrectly, they're opening themselves up for many complaints, and possibly legal action against them.

Enjoy Android land.

Had a black 2g, 3g, 3gS, 4, white 4S, black 5.

Got the black "grey" 5S. Felt boring and looked the same as the black** 5. Could hardly tell the diff, and spent 812$ on it. Swapped it for gold, couldnt be happier plus resale in 11 months will be higher then black. :D

Yes, it's pretty but damn it's so nice to have the speed my old '4' didn't have. I really wouldn't care if it was polka dotted.

I, like others, were only given the option to select Space Grey in most stores. I've had the white iPhone 4S and it became my favorite color for my iDevices. So I was devistated that they only had Space Grey. Its already past the 14 days that i could return the phone (tried to 1 day after the 14 days, the fault was on me)

Anyone else not a fan of their Space Grey.

I was in your boat on launch day. Wanted gold but they only had gray so that's what I got (wasn't about to leave empty handed after 6 hours of waiting!)

I traded it for a gold one a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it. But I wouldn't have been disappointed if I had to keep the space gray. It's a great looking phone. I just wanted something else more :)

Had the black 4 and 4s and now the Space Grey 5s. It's all they had and I'm fine with it. Was really wanting the gold for something new but this thing is sexy as well.

Nope. I have the Apple leather case on it so I can't tell the difference between the Space Grey and the Slate. Awesome case though.

I had the grey and traded it for a silver which i then traded for a gold. I just felt it was too similar to the black i already had

Space Grey.... toned down version of slate

I liked the slate version of iphone 5... but then they had to change to space grey which is like a faded version... not interested.

"Devastated"? Really now?

I'm fond of the space grey, personally, but would urge you to volunteer some time in the children's cancer ward or something. A little life perspective would do you good.

well said !

' Devastated ' over a gadget's color ?

Bought a Space Grey because I was one of those who "settled" with it cos I needed a new phone and I just had to. But I was kinda ticked off by how light the grey was in contrast to the black, to me it was just too off. Then it was stolen. :( Switched to silver. I think that's the universe's punishment for not loving my space grey LOL.

every time i've had the choice, i've opted for the white model. it's just been my preference but i've been desiring a bit of change lately and opted for the space gray this time around, and i could not be happier. it's sharp.

The Space Gray is IMO is the best color out of all 3 color options. It just looks Bananas when that box is opened and you see it for the first time...

However...

Once you start using it is when those feelings fade, IMO the phone is just an absolute fingerprint, smudge nightmare. I hate screen protectors and just couldn't get past the whole whipping my phone down all day with a micro fiber cloth thing. And the new home button looks so dirty after just a few presses. Hey it is what it is, the phone looks amazing when it's not touched or being used, but use it and its near impossible to keep it looking so fresh and so clean.

To me the silver/white model is just more practical and just a lot easier to keep clean and always looks spiffy. To each his own though, that's just my 2 cents.

Whichever color i chose won't matter coz i have the back of the phone covered with iCarbons Black/Red :D
