Traded in 11 Pro Max for 11 Pro last night. Moving on...
Interestingly the customer rep said that women often want to buy or move UP to the Max, because they are used to carrying the phone in their purses, wheras men often want to by or move DOWN to the regular size, because they are used to carrying in the pocket!

I‘m a woman and I have the 11 Pro. Whilst I do carry my phone in my handbag, I have tiny hands so I feel like I would drop the Pro Max lots. Maybe most women have big hands.

My 64GB 8+ was too large in size and micro-managed storage for 3 months before upgrading. I upgraded to (and now have) the 256GB iPhone 11 Pro (not max) and it is very comfortable that the new phone I have has more storage and the size of the phone is much more manageable.

I got a Pro Max and I'm downsizing this year. Man the hand pain is just beyond acceptable, got the phone back in launch day and even to this day it annoys me to use 2 hands sometime

went form 5s to 6 plus, than 6s plus than went back to 7, plan to go 9/SE2 plus:)

I've got the Xs Max and might change up the size when the 12 is released. Perhaps go with the 12 Pro but not the Max.

I went 7+ -> X -> XS Max -> 11 Pro.

I thought I wanted a bigger phone when the XS Max was released, but it is just a little too big. Much harder to reach the top on iPhones Max than iPhones Plus. Was a relief to step back down to the 11 Pro last year.

I'd like it a tiny bit bigger, so hoping the 6.1" 12 Pro rumours are true this year. That would pretty much be my perfect phone.

I agree that the XS Max is just a tad too big for one handed use sometimes, even more so with a case on. I too will probably step down from the Max size. In the end the deciding factor in my decision on the Max was the bigger battery. It’s still a really good phone, but it takes up your whole pocket. I don’t wear skinny jeans either lol. If you can get a good deal on one either new or certified preowned I would say go for it. Personally I probably wouldn’t buy a phone from the used market.

After having an 11 Max for 7 now months since launch day- I'm ready for a smaller /lighter phone. I have male LG-XL size hands and still never loved the plus, or Max phones like a smaller one. I'll either get a reg 11 pro, or the "new" SE/9 in the next week. & sell the max. Getting the big slab of glass out of pants pocket when sitting down is a pain in the...

It makes sense. If i were willing to pay $1100 for the iPhone 11 pro max, then i would better go with new SE $400 + Ipad pro 11" ($580 Apple refurbished 2018 or 2020 - $800) or Ipad Air. Anyway this set seems to be justifying the price paid.

Even my XS is so heavy. I cannot imagine how heavy 11 pro max would be.

Pro max is such a great phone to consume media, but it's a pain in the arse to bring it every where. Regular 11 pro is for me.

I tried both the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max before deciding to keep the larger Max, primarily for the bigger battery.

The other consideration is that although the smaller form factor is better for one handed use, the Max’s on-screen keyboard is way more comfortable to type on.

However, I want to go back to the smaller phone now that I have a baby around. It's very difficult to use the Max one-handed with a baby on the other arm.

Not Apple to Apple, but I went from a Note 3 => Galaxy S8 => SE.

I preferred the size of SE and kept it until I upgraded to an X in Japan (no Suica support for the SE). I'd buy the 5.4 if the Specs are good, tempted by the Pro just in case Apple give the 5.4 awful specs...

I had a iPhone 11 pro was not comfortable at all for me for some reason would get pain in my wrist and thumb constantly but when I used any other iPhone or even my wife's Huawei never got any pain so i sold it and bought a pixel 3a for a bit until iPhone se 2020 comes out hopefully then give the pixel 3a to my wife

I downsized from the 6plus then from there had the regular size versions. The phone was great but I am woman who has small hands and could never get a comfortable grip on the phone even with 2 hands. If the plus/max versions were less wide but still the same height that would be perfect

I’m about the go from a 6S Plus to a SE 2020, I’ll miss The large screen but cost wise it’s the smart move. I’m allowing myself the two weeks to be sure though, just in case.

I upgraded from the 6 to the 7+ (since same design, I thought that bumping size would give me the newness). For my usage (especially pockets) it was larger than I liked so I upgraded to the X the next year.

I have 3 lines, though 1 primary (which is now an 11 since the battery on my X couldn't be replaced), and my other 2 lines are the 6s and the SE. The 7+ is available if necessary or if someone like my sister needs a "new" phone quickly. THough now that a new SE is out, that would probably be a better choice.
