This is Apple we're talking about.

Apple does not make the cameras, 3rd party vendors do. So until they can break whopping new ground in making low light gathering even better in a much smaller package, the laws of physics rule the day.

It will happen, just might take a few iterations.

I was talking about Apple making the iPhone thicker to make the camera flush. You know they're obsessed with thinness.

Yeah the aesthetic of the bump doesn't bother me at all, but I wasn't expecting it to rock so much when laying flat on its back.

I just got my matte black plus a couple hours ago and I'm already getting used to it.

I thought the camera bump on the iPhone 7 was more integrated into the casing? Wouldn't that actually make it less obtrusive than it was on the 6-series??
The 6 plus had only the single lens that protruded just slightly. The bump on the 7 plus encompasses both lenses so is bigger.

I don't need a pocket-sized DSLR. If I could get an iPhone or iPod Touch in the same size as a Plus, but with reduced emphasis on the camera ability as to keep the back entirely flat, that would be great.
