What's wrong with 20's? It's perfect winter weather! Warm enough to stay active outside, but not too warm to melt the snow, which ruins all of the fun outdoor activities.Canada http://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/montreal/h2k/january-weather/56186
Sums up why I hate winter.
Most of the time, here in Canada, we get about -10 to -15 degrees (celsius), not to mention the very cold wind, snowstorms and snowfalls which are pretty common. Also, cold weather always makes my face very dry, which makes me very uncomfortable. What's wrong with 20's? It's perfect winter weather! Not a good idea to brag this year. Hopefully your Apple Watch will hold up while you are trying to swim out of the floods we are going to get this winter because of El Niño.
Im in california, what's this winterThat means putting on layers of sweaters, jackets, gloves, etc. That also means the Apple Watch will cease to be useful for several months, at least when outdoors.
So far I had to put on a coat a few times as the weather gets cooler and found it to be a pain to try to roll up my sleeve to check a notification. However, since I still feel the notification at least I know when to check my phone, which helps.
Anyone else feel the pain and/or have strategies to maximize their enjoyment of the Apple watch in the winter?
Some of you really haven't worn a watch in years, have you?
It doesn't have anything to do with that. I've been wearing mechanical watches for as long as I can remember but they are only used to tell the time which isn't very often. A smart watch however is used for various types of functionality and far more often so wearing long sleeves especially a a coat with tight fitting sleeves like my North Face rain coat makes using it very difficult. This morning rather then using my watch to pay with ApplePay in the coffee shop I had to take my phone out of my pocket. Today was the first time I couldn't use ApplePay on my watch.

My gloves do have the special fingertips on them for working the iPhone screen so they should work for the watch as well.

Been over 15 for me! Felt like they were moustaches for the wrist, the Apple watch however is like a pair of raybans on the wrist, much cooler.
If I were to complain, the sleeves take away the single hand operation of the watch. With short sleeves, its pick up the arm and look at the display. With long sleeves, its pick up the arm and with the other hand, pull back the sleeve. Running with long sleeves adds to the fun if you're watching your pace. My running shirts though are thin enough that I can see my pace shine through the fabric so not too bad there.
I would have not complained at all if I hadn't been adding to this thread. Winter adds this complication in general, having to add layers to do anything outside. The benefit though is I can heat my garage pretty easy for projects but can't really cool it down. I could but the process is much more difficult and expensive.
I'm laughing at how hard you make your life sound.
