Yeah I was one of the ones that bought a 12 Pro to just test until the Pro Max came out since I always picked the bigger phone. But I am now having serious doubts as this phone seems to be the perfect size for me. It took a few days for my eyes to adjust to the smaller size but I’m enjoying my phone so much now. I’m so confused now. Lol. Really would prefer to stay at this size but I know once the Max arrives that part of me that only wants the best will be rearing it’s ugly little head.

I nearly did but I've decided to hang out for the Pro Max. I nearly caved on Monday this week when I went to a local store and saw the Pro and realised I could probably love with that size.

My situation is just the opposite. I don’t like the huge devices and from having experienced the pains of day to day use with the 8 plus and the Xs Max I chose the 11 Pro last year and I’ve been happy with it but this year Apple gave the pro Max the top quality camera which is one of my main usage for the phone so now I have to get the Max size.

Contemplating if I should bite the bullet or stay away. The Max this year is even bigger than the ones in previous years.

I almost caved in last Friday and got the 12 Pro just because I didnt want to wait. After seeing it I decided to just wait for the Pro Max. The 12 Pro is a nice size and seems like the perfect one handed device. I like the Max size phone and don’t think I can ever go down in screen size unless Apple takes away the Max size from their line ups.

I did the same; I got the 12 Pro PB last Friday, and I am definitely returning it as it's battery life sucks; I knew this but still wanted to try the small form factor. I guess 12PM is the way to go because of much better cameras and longer battery life.

I think I will get used to it's size and weight (coming from a 11PM)

My battery life has been pretty solid. Such conflicting reports of battery life. I wonder what’s going on.

I'm still undecided. I did pre-order the 12 Pro PB as I needed to see the color in person. I do like smaller, very comfortable to hold and do things one-handedly. But I'll still be pre-ordering the 12 Pro Max PB on launch day.

I will plan on initiating a return on 11/5/2020 for the 12 Pro PB as I will get additional 14 days from that day so I have till 11/19/2020 to decide.

I think this is very subjective as it totally depends on your usage. I use my phone for Work & Personal stuff and sometimes watch YT and Netflix during the day.

I have used 11 PM and XS Max in the past and never bothered about a dead battery. However, iPhone 12 doesn't give you that comfort if you are a heavy user (IMO).

But yes, size and weight wise nothing can beat 12/12 Pro.

I bought 12 Pro in PB and I had the same questions as you. Finally I thought that I prefer better battery life and larger screen. These days I was thinking all the time how was the battery life instead of enjoy this iPhone.

So I am going to wait two weeks more to have my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

But have you actually experienced bad battery life or is it because a few alarmist have you worried. I haven’t experienced any problems with battery. Lol. My phone easily gets through a day. Now the Pro Max was a beast but it was a beast with its size too. lol.

But I will say my usage might be different than some. Out the house I use my phone but when I’m at home I primarily use my IPad Pro 12.9 in. If I didn’t have an IPad I definitely would only ever buy the Max. I most likely will still start the return process just to give myself the extra days to turn it in. And I probably will still preorder the Max. Man this is going to be hard.

I ordered the Pro (arrives the 10th) because I am coming from an X and for me is a perfect size. However this year because of the camera improvements (the main reason I am changing the X) and some friends and family that were using Max without any problem I was thinking about trying the Max for the first time. I will wait until the reviews of the camera are out to see if I order the Max or keep the Pro.

I'm on the fence. I had the 11P and was going to go for the Max this year, but since I frequently use my phone with one hand, I went with the 12P instead. It still feels bigger, and the flat edges make it a lot boxier in my pocket. I like the smaller size, but the battery life on this phone is no better and possibly worse than my 11P. That phone is a year old; I don't want my newest device to have the same battery life. I would prefer the smaller size, I think, but I am let down by its performance in that regard.

Also, I know this isn't the thread for this, but my 11P was lagging when I opened messages and started typing. Nothing would come up for the first few words, then everything came up at once. My 12P is now doing this too. I didn't buy this with the intent of returning, but now that's what I may end up doing.

I went from a 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro. With my usage I'm very happy. I ended a work day at 83-87% on my 11 Pro Max. Same usage on my 12 Pro - I end the day around 74%. (That's not charging from 6am to 7pm).

I have had the + sized phones since the 6+ and even though I'm a really big guy (round, not tall) - I find the 11 Pro Max to be uncomfortable to hold for periods of time. The 12 Pro is the PERFECT size for me (5'11).

I absolutely love it.

I compare this to my wife's 11 Pro Max - the screen is ever so slightly smaller but weight is significantly less. Battery? Not all that much worse. Granted, this is at home on WiFi. But I work and sit at a desk all day anyway.

I'm really enjoying this phone. I'm using it more than I did my 11 Pro Max.

Very subjective yes.

I have a XS Max and use it for work but it's too large in my smaller hands.
The other phone is an 11 that I am replacing with my 12 Pro.

I love the 12 Pro and will ask my work to get me a 12 or 12 Pro.

I thought I could go from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro, but I'm probably returning the 12 Pro for the 12 Pro Max. I picked up my 11 Pro Max yesterday, and I was reminded just how much I prefer the largest iPhone.
I picked up my launch day 11 Pro Max yesterday day as well and im the opposite. Its too big for me. But then i do like the bigger . Such a pain.

The way I view it for myself --- do you have other devices with larger screens that you use? (iPads/MacBooks/iMacs?). If yes, can you utilize them for your larger screen?

I have an iPad Pro - that I use to read a lot on. So for me, a larger phone wasn't necessary - I've been wanting to downsize for years now. If I need/want a bigger screen, I grab my iPad which is near me. Having a highly mobile phone that has a slightly smaller screen than my 11 Pro Max has been great. But, if I want a bigger screen I can hit that iPad.

People I know without iPads - I usually tell them to get the larger phone because the #1 thing I hear them asking is: "I want a bigger screen to watch Netflix/Hulu."

I'm a woman with small hands, so I never thought I'd like a large phone. But when the 8 came out I went from the 6S to the 8 plus, and surprisingly it took me no time to adapt. Now I don't think I'd want to go back to a smaller phone.

I’m still not 100% sure, but I might hold on to my iPhone 12 Pro. At first, I’ve had doubts, fearing that the camera upgrade would be too modest compared to the iPhone 11 Pro, so I was considering holding out for the 12 Pro Max. But now that I’ve got the phone in my hands, and tried out the camera, it seems better than expected.

Now, I might still decide to go for the iPhone 12 Pro Max after all, but at the other hand... I expect Apple to bring the camera upgrade of that model to the next ‘regular’ iPhone Pro. At least the bigger pixels and Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization.

As far as battery life goes it’s too early to judge. But so far it’s on par if not better.

I want the bigger sensor in the 12 Pro Max but ultimately the size is just too big. Not like I have small hands either but I prefer the size of my 12 Pro just like how I loved the size of the 11 Pro.

You know? I do in fact have an iPad Pro 11 in 2018 so I can utilize that for other things. So I guess I a way, I'll stick to the 12 Pro.

I dont agree with the practice. Wait like the rest of us.

I have the pro since the earliest date, and im shipping it back for max. I do enjoy the smaller form factor in pockets but in terms of usage much prefer the bigger screen. I can’t settle for the pro knowing it’s out there. MAX BABY.

We all have chooses in life. Apple chose to delay the Max Pro and I chose to try the regular Pro. I also went this route as I didn’t feel like continuing to pay installments after I was already eligible for an upgrade. Also I wanted to get a chance to sell my Max Pro before everyone else floods ebay with their phones. Even though I won’t end up turning my phone in, the more payments made the less of a chance to recoup any money.
