Perfect launch day experience. Perfect phone. No complaints here. Did crash on me once the other day, but so far, it has been a wonderful 5 days owning it.

I'll probably stop being OCD about the phone when the honeymoon period wears off eventually in a few months, but this is without the best electronic device I have ever bought. I will probably still keep it after my contract is up and I get another phone in two years. Just demote it as a back-up phone, but a great one as a #1 or #2. It is a keeper that neither the 3G or 3GS ever were. A work of art inside/out. All the features I need. I'm in love with Apple again!

I've got a perfect phone too. I've tried to replicate the signal issue many different ways in a lot of different locations. As someone else stated, it could be because the reception is excellent here in Utah. I've had all the previous iPhones before and have never had issues. The only time I did was when I spent last summer in Dallas. The reception there is terrible.

That's a bit surprising. AT&T is based here in Dallas and I've found their service to be really solid here compared to other cities I've traveled to.

I'd say it is 'near perfect' for me. No reception issues at all...but my battery won't charge to 100% when it's turned off. It'll get to about 76% and display the 'full' icon when it's turned back on.

Right now I'm sticking with it. I'd rather work the problem by charging it full when it's still on, then taking my chances with another unit until the antenna problem on some units is identified and resolved.

Both of my iPhones are fantastic.

I've had some weird sound issues (texting sound makes a weird noise) but after a reboot it hasn't happened again.

The other phone froze on my Fiancee and she didn't know how to do a hard reset, so she thought hers was dead until it rebooted it self.

Mine's perfect too, which is nice to finally have an iPhone like it should be, considering i went through 4 3GS's in 8 months with various faults! My old faithful (that i've kept) was almost perfect except for a wobbly power button! lol

I've found the signal & battery life to be much better than the GS, even with O2's poor reception in my area, i've gotten 1-2 bars more every day since thurs! Should be even better once i move to Vodafone :D

Weird, what part of Dallas were you in?

I'm in Dallas and have always had excellent reception around the metroplex. I even routinely get 5+ mbps 3G speeds, and even when I was on EDGE I could routinely get ~200kbps speeds. The only place I've noticed where I can't hardly get a 3G signal is out in the Garland area near Lake Ray Hubbard

Also, to contribute to the thread - I too have a flawless phone

Mine is perfect

32 hours from full charge. No stains. No proximity issues. I lose a bar or two but not the whole signal when I hold phone with my left hand touching the antenna gap.

I am very happy with my iPhone so far. No issues to report. Same with my wife's. I have a 32GB and she has a 16GB.:)

I have to believe the drop in RF reception is the same in ALL the i4 units. Those who do not notice it are likely in an area where the signal strength is VERY high. Try going out where you only have a couple of bars and THEN grab you phone "the wrong way".:p

Those who say this make no difference are in denial and love their phone so much it could not turn on and they would be happy right now! The antenna problem is equal for all:eek:

Mine is perfect. Every iPhone I've had has been perfect. 2G->3G->3GS->4. I haven't just "gotten lucky", you all are just too anal.

Got mine this morning at 7:30AM. LOVE this damn phone!!!! Seriously....LOVE the damn phone :D:D

I'm very happy with mine and it has been flawless! I haven't had the problems others seem to be having. (I'm not saying those who are reporting problems aren't having them, just that I've been fortunate thus far). As I've said elsewhere, I've been around the block a few times, so I have come to expect some issues with ANY new technology or newly revised product.
I made the switch from a 3g- which I loved in its day. The iPhone 4 is wicked fast by comparison! I love the new features and the screen is just amazing. So for me, it's been well worth the money and I would gladly do it again. And getting one with no problems has made the overall experience very pleasant.:)

Just got my iPhone today. Absolutely no problems. I can't get the bars to go down at all. I'm really amazed at the speed of the phone over my 3G and even more amazed at how incredible the screen looks.

Far from it actually. I don't have any screen problems but my reception (especially with regards to data) is miserable. My phone constantly says it has full bars and 3G service but won't load web pages, or apps. My WiFi seems to have an issue reconnecting after going to sleep and if I hold the phone in my left hand I lose all my bars.

Really hoping for a quick software fix from Apple. Thus far everyone I have talked to here in Arizona is having the same problems.

Same.

I even TRIED to make the damn thing fail. I held the thing as WRONG (Yes, JOBS! I held it WRONG! Send me to iPhone jail) as possible to see if I could make my call or bars drop and it still held up without any quality degradation. I even tested it on speaker and normal call mode as well as different locations (work, home, campus, car with all the windows closed) and still no issue.

I'm not trying to brag as much as just give people data. I feel bad for the people that aren't having the same luck.

Same here. No issues at all. I even accidentally dropped it this morning and nothing happened. Works great!

Perfect iPhone 4!

Mine is absolutely beautiful! The retina display is incredible and I have had no issues with anything whatsoever!
