As others have said, I have major major cramping in my right hand when using the Magic Mouse. I've only tried it once, and then never went back.

Apple Keyboard, Trackpads, Pencil? Great. Magic Mouse? No.

I was using a Razer for awhile but recently switched to Logitechs now. Love the Logitechs, the battery life is insane - not sure how they do it. My Logitech mouse has 1 double AA battery and is said to last 2 years? Insane. I've had the Logitech Mouse for about 3 months now and it's still at 100% while I've recharged my Apple Keyboard about twice in 3 months.

I prefer mice and I love my Magic Mouse. I've used them for over 9 years. Scrolling is incredibly smooth and precise. I use the gestures daily. I can't see myself using a scroll wheel after using the touchpad. The touchpad allows me to effortesly switch between right and left handed use. I don't even have to think about it. I use the gestures all the time. I know some may find it overly simplistic, but that's what I like about it.

Yeah the touchpad is genuinely amazing, but the mouse itself is truly an ergonomic dumpster fire. Worked at a place once where all the mice were the Magic Mouse and never have I actually felt the carpal tunnel coursing through my fingers like I did then.

It's probably the most egregious example of Apple putting form before function in their entire history, and the fact that the same design has persisted for so long is just beyond disappointing. I'd love to see a more ergonomic iteration with the touchpad retained.

Aye, can't stand it, it's just far too small. Apple have never been able to make a good mouse.

My husband, I, and my son all hate it. We have the first Magic Mouse. Got rid of 2 out of 3 when selling off old imacs. My husband uses the Mighty Mouse. My son uses a $10 Dell scroll mouse. I use a Magic Trackpad 2 (30 years with a regular mouse but love the Trackpad).

I actually got this exact mouse to replace the Magic Mouse and it's excellent! I got the small, right handed version.

Anyone else feel the same? Am I missing something?

For many tasks I'll admit it's fiddly. But it's ability to seamlessly scroll sideways is really useful in applications I use like Logic Pro. Within Apple's direct software ecosystem it's great and I'd miss it.

(Very funny experience playing Half Life 2 on it though, weapon selection is scrolled so the slightest finger movement results in a slot machine action that could land you with a crowbar or a rocket launcher at random).
