I hate it. I take shedloads of screenshots and it's a pain in the bum hitting the volume switch all the time by accident as I get the icon stuck in the middle of the picture. I'm not having an issue with anything else and can use the plus pretty much one handed but I cannot get on with this.

Hey ho, what can you do.

I like that it's now on the side but I think Apple should have moved either the sleep/wake or volume buttons so they're not directly across from each other. It gets to be pretty annoying when you're taking screenshots or doing a hard reset. I have plenty of Android phones with the power button on the side and the volume button is either on the same side as the power button or on the other side but slightly lower. You'd think Apple would have thought about such an obvious issue.

I keep hitting the top of the phone, too.

That's not a big deal... but what is lame is when I am taking photos in landscape using the volume button as a shutter release, my thumb ends up on the power button.

No problem here, other phones I use have the side button as well, so it makes life much easier for me.

Nah. I've had every iPhone since 2007 and it took me about 5 minutes to get use to the new location

Not only am I constantly still hitting the top of my phone, but when I do realize it's on the side, I'm constantly hitting the volume buttons too for leverage.

Ugh, first world problems!

I hear you. I hit the volume buttons a lot as well!

Anyone else hate the location of the sleep button?

No. If it was on top I would be difficult to reach it with one hand. Only other location better than the side is the back (LG G2/3).

People like you can survive on a desert island.

Not necessarily. I've had every iphone since 07 and it took me 5 minutes to get used to the button on the side. I assure I couldn't survive on a desert island. But it did take me longer to get used to the screen so maybe that's the reason.

I never used the power button to begin with. I made it a habit to always wake the device with the home button; easier than reaching for the power.

Humans resist change. Not a big deal. I am already used to the sleep button location.

I don't hate it...it actually seems to be where it should have been all along, but even though I've had my 6 since release date, I still have to think of where the button is instead if it being automatic like it was on my 4/4s/5/5s iPhones.

Hard to teach an old dog new tricks I guess!

Its the perfect location as one does not have to re-adjust the grip on the phone to reach from the sleep/wake button to the home button. Had the SW button been at its usual spot one would had to do so to reach up to the button and then use the thump to unlock the device (for people with normal size hands and/or fingers). I first noticed this on my Nexus 5, had it had the SW button at the top i would have had to re adjust the grip to fill in my patter.

I do. Poor choice of placement by Apple. Still a great phone though.

Exactly! Also when you take a video this way (I know most people do that in portrait mode) and you accidentally hit the power button, it shuts off the phone. Kinda annoying!

Hate it personally. It makes taking screen shots counter intuitive on both my 6 and 6+. Its also in the same position for the 6 and 6+ which is very odd for the end user, regardless of if it makes them easier to manufactor. Overall great phone but hey, thats my opinion

Ps. They should do an update which lets volume + sleep button screen shot!
