A few days into owning my base blush Neo, I've decided for the first time ever with a MacBook, I'd like to personalise it by adding some stickers to the outside! I don't know why but something about the Neo just makes me want to add some extra personality and good vibes.

I did a ton of shopping around yesterday and found a site I really loved, with a huge variety of stickers. Thought I'd share it below incase anyone else wants to do the same. They have a ton of cool apple themed ones, and plenty of Steve jobs quotes which are awesome:

Anyone else planning to add some extra personality to their Neo? 🙂

Nope, only because I've done this before and then left with the shadow on the aluminium when I removed them a year down the line. I think they look good, just don't want to damage the finish.

Some people love putting stickers/decals on everything. But I am not one of them. It's your Mac so do what you like with it.

Stickers, no. But I do put skins on every MacBook owned since around 2011/2012 and I've just pre-ordered a full set from SlickWraps. dbrand is my favorite site for skins but I wasn't happy with their selection for the Neo. When time to remove there is no residue.

Never stickers or skins on my systems. I do have buttons

Do not put stickers on if you intend to sell it later. There will be marks on all colors except the silver one (not colored). This is my MBP space gray I’m using now. Stickers on for about a year.

Wouldn't be so sure about that. There's plenty of people with silver MacBooks looking for solutions on removing permanent sticker markings.

Haha, this looks like my iPhone 6 back in the day when McDonalds had the free coffee stickers on cups I would often just stick them to the back of my iPhone for safe keeping until I had enough to claim a free coffee

Most didn’t stay on there too long so it was fine but I ended up with a couple of small permanent square marks from the ones that did!

Seems like the tattoo analogy is better than I realized 😉 "A permanent reminder of a temporary feeling"

Not to say don't do it - like I mentioned, I have two tattoos now & considering more. But just understand what you're getting into - I wouldn't do a sticker if you ever want to "Sell" your laptop but if you're like me, and you either run it into the ground or give it away or trade it in - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ go for it!

I keep my computers until they're essentially worthless, moving them from role to role as they age, so I sticker mine up. Yes, it marks the aluminum, but it's my laptop that I won't be reselling so I don't mind. I tend to start with a couple basic ones when I get a new computer, then let them build up over time as I get or am gifted new ones. Left is my M1 Air that's been my main laptop in my classroom for five years now and has built up a substantial collection, right is my Neo. The only one that's guaranteed on my laptops is the rainbow Apple logo.

I was pretty hopeful that Apple were going to release their cursive 'Hello' logo as a sticker to be included in the MacBook Neo box.

If you scroll down the Neo's product page on apple.com, there's a Blush Neo with that exact sticker…

I find putting stickers on my devices awful. Maybe I'm oversaturated of seeing dozens of them in every macbook in every tech meeting / conference / event.
But to each their own.

I used to have a bunch of stickers on my MacBook, after two years I wanted all of them gone.

Thankfully, it didn't leave that much of a mark, oddly enough I'd have to wipe it with a damp cloth just to barely see it. Not the worst outcome but yeah, I'll never put stickers on them again. 😅

I try to keep my stuff as original as possible, including my computers. No stickers for me on cars and stuff. I do admit that a lot of them look really fun though!

I've done the exact same thing with my M2 Air, it's ride or die until it dies so I don't care what happens to the finish from the decals. I put the rainbow logo on every machine I've owned, I wish Apple would consider returning to it, if not for the Pro lines then at least for something cheap and cheerful like the Neo. It always gets comments too, people think it's a special edition or something because of the logo when it's just me being a long-time nerd (my first Mac was a Classic).

That's awesome!

I also keep mine until they have essentially no value, but I haven't done as much with stickers yet. Here is my recently retired 13" Early 2011 MBP (Bullwinkle), and the 13" 2020 M1 MBP that replaced it as my backup server when I got my M5 Pro MBP. No stickers on the new one yet, but I'm checking out the basicappleguy.com ones that @vanishing linked to above.

I never sticker my devices, BUT... for my MBP I bought a clear case, and am covering THAT with stickers!
