Now it's right where my pinky rests and it is constantly chafing it. I have seen several others mention this issue on here.

It would seem that the best location would be up top where it was for in pocket use.

You just noticed it? It's been there for over two years. The issue was discussed ad nauseum when the 5 was released. Most people agreed that it was the most logical location especially so the headphone cord doesn't drape over the screen when you're listening to the headphones and looking at the screen.

Its even worse having one on the top and one on the bottom.

Edit: read that wrong.

That's what she said.

Why did they move the headphone jack to the bottom left?

It's been this way since iPhone 5, in case you haven't noticed the iPods too including the iPod Touches have been this way for a long time. Apple just brought the iPhone in line with the rest of the product range back in 2012.

Yeah..

After three iPhones with it on the bottom, I much prefer the headphone jack on the bottom.

It def seems to have more positives than negatives. In fact the only real bothersome one right now is that it scrapes my pinky.

Even to this day I keep trying to stick my headphones in the top and I'm like oh yeah it's in the bottom now.

Lol hopefully I don't scuff up the metal band on top from doing it too much.

What makes it harder to remember is that I still use the old 4 like a iTouch so I still alternate and it can get confusing sometimes.

Does anyone else have this problem?

No, because Apple moved the headphone jack to the bottom. It's like buying a toilet that has a flush button on the top center of the toilet tank rather than a flush lever on the top left corner of the tank front.
