iPhone 17 Pro Max Anyone else not getting Launch Day Delivery due to UPS?

I don’t live near any Apple Store. I can get one from my carrier for a Tuesday delivery. Since I’d ordered the one from Apple on the 24 month payment plan, does anyone know what happens to that Citizen loan if I return the phone to Apple if it ever arrives or have Apple cancel it?
So I got a call back from the local UPS office, and they don't service my zip code on Saturday supposedly.
But signing the door tag will be enough for them to leave it Monday.

My local UPS often delivers a day later than scheduled. Pretty much every Apple launch day items never makes it on Friday and ends being delivered on Monday. If the local UPS gets it at 3:30 AM it still can not make it on the truck for delivery that day. The same happened this year. I had a 17Pro & APP3 due for delivery on the 19th, UPS changed delivery to 22 September the morning of the 19th. Detail of the delivery showed it was at the local UPS at 7:23 AM so, as usual, it did not make on the delivery truck. I would love to do a ISPU, but the nearest Apple Store is 2 hours away.
My device was delayed but I’m leaving for 10 days on Monday and couldn’t count on UPS to deliver in the morning. Called my carrier (T-Mobile) who lifted my equipment credit line so that I could do another order and do in store pick up today. I’ll leave a note on the door instructing UPS to return to sender.

Are you at a business address or a residential address? UPS will not deliver to businesses on a rescheduled Saturday from a Week-day delivery which is how your phone shipped.

I got a call from the local office after going through the 800 number and the explanation was they don't do Saturday delivery to my zip code. So I guess they click whatever option they have to in the system to bump delivery back to Monday.

I have had that happen with an iPhone cable. The driver said they require a signature for anything from Apple. On another occasion I found my Apple accessory sitting at my front door clearly without signing for it.
It’s frustrating that the expectation is that we plan the entire day around waiting for them mystic case they want a signature.
I swear sometimes they don’t even knock. They just quietly put the sticker on the door and leave. I’ve been sitting where I can see the door and there are no loud noises in the house. I’d hear a knock and my doorbell works.
It’s all very frustrating.
Now it says it left Charlotte today which is where I’m at and is now back in Kentucky lol
While I wait, I went to the Apple Store yesterday and got the Air so I can try it for a week while UPS and Apple figure out where my PM is. I did this just to ensure I do not wonder about the Air. Besides the camera, I’m truly digging the air but I’ll return it when my PM arrives, as I have the 1UP locked but this air is quite spectacular

I cope by telling myself that the phone is so thin and light, it disappears and they keep losing track of it.
Needless to say, bummer weekend. But Monday is around the corner and a little delayed gratification is good for the brain.

Did you ever talk to anyone at Apple? it looks it is it being returned if it went back to WorldPort.

I did, but they are investigating where it’s at bit not requesting it to be returned. She opened a ticket to help get UPS to find it and deliver to me
Well it sure looks like it is on the way back to Apple. You might want to follow-up with Apple Support tomorrow if not right now to see what they have in their ticket that was opened.

I’ll check it in the AM, not the first time I’ve seen something hit my hub then mistakenly get routed back to their main hub, and come back the next day. My order does not show cancelled and still shows pending delivery also
Might be a case of the phone being stolen in transit by UPS and they are sending the box back to Apple.
Regardless, Apple will make it whole.
So I'm in a similar boat. I've been monitoring the progress of my incoming iPhone and it was supposed to be delivered Friday but UPS doesn't seem to know where it is.
I chose to have it delivered to my work. UPS app shows it's out for delivery. UPS guy shows around 10:30 delivers something else but not the iPhone so I ask him about it, he checks on his handheld that it should be out for delivery and goes back to the truck, spends a few minutes searching and comes back empty handed. Says he if finds it while doing other deliveries he'll come back.
I watch the map the rest of the day and see him driving all over creation. The delivery window initially said something like 11:45-2:45 but well into the late afternoon it eventually changes to by 7pm. 7pm comes and goes and I can still see the driver in the area so I leave work and hunt him down nearby. He remembers me and says he didn't find it but he lets me on board the truck and we both search. Nothing from Apple. He says he's been delivering dozens of them all day, so he knows the package, but hasn't found mine. All in all he was very friendly and helped as much as he could, I'll give him that much.
When I get home soon after I see the tracking info says it was rescheduled to deliver Saturday by request (requested by who?) though they apparently don't deliver to businesses on weekends. So, Saturday nothing, and today nothing. I'll have to see what happens tomorrow morning being the first business day of the week.
What else is curious is the tracking info said it was being processed at my facility twice, nothing about being loaded onto a truck? How was I able to follow it on the map and get a delivery window along with "your package is on its way" emails from UPS if it was never scanned/loaded onto a truck?

Its now back in Charlotte lol, and today I got a text saying my order will deliver, So we will see. Now I have to decide if I will return the Air or return the PM IFD it delivers lol
Yeah mine shows back in Charlotte after going back to Kentucky yesterday, and now shows Processing at the facility. So we will see.
