You are absolutely wrong here. Without the complete failure by AAPL, outlined in detail by the OP and others, forums like Macrumors would not exist. So NO ONE wants a premium product here.

My iPad1 isn't perfect either. No smartcover, fingerprints on screen, much too heavy, not hot enough to replace the hot water bottle in bed, and not even FLASH!

No Smartcover? Thats not an issue. Fingerprints on screen? Clean it. Not too heavy? Then clearly you have the arms of a small child. But if your iPad has backlight bleeding issues, that's a problem.

I can't believe you are finding humor in my pain. I forked out big money for what basically is an overweight rectangular frisbee.

Let me list the cons:
Doesn't hover.
Non microwaveable.
The screen is only the best on any mobile device. It should be more the best.
Doesn't make coffee.
It won't tell me it loves me.
Incompatible with LTE on Uranus.

Ok guys, I need to remove one of these. I was feeling so despondent over my light bleed that I decided to relax and have a couple beers (alright it was six) with my iPad and guess what - she said "I love you."

And, despite everything I said it back.

I understand it's a joke, when paying this much for a premium product, you expect it not to have any issues.

It's an amazing coincidence that [The Price of the Ipad] = [The amount of money which entitles someone to whatever standards they see fit]. If the iPad was $100 less would there be fewer complaints? Of course not.

In fact I expect anything I buy not to have issues with it, regardless of how premium it is or isn't.

If you're not happy with the quality of a device, you are free to return it, or to exchange it for a unit which meets the manufacturer's standards for what they offer for sale. It's possible a consumer has standards which the seller is not in a position to meet.
