Went from 32 down to 16 didn't really need the space and with icloud it should be ok. Heck I had the original iPhone in 4th lol, actually I still have it, it's still my fav design with the metal back

going from 32gb iPhone 4 to 16gb 4s.

Anything over 16gb is overkill in the way I travel / day to day

iPhone I use pandora and stream sports etc... from net/cloud so I have always gone with smallest capacity.

iPads I get largest capacity for movie favs & travel video guides etc...

Curious what to you use to stream sports on? I have trouble finding reliable source?

I was under the impression the iCloud will not sync video yet.
So all that 1080p videos we take are going to have to be stored on our iPhones until we can offload them to our computer via the data cable (which i don't see myself doing frequently now that we have wireless sync...)

So i bought the 32gb 4s since I plan on using video and the camera a lot(new baby at home).

Can someone verify that iCloud does/doesn't sync video?

Not sure about the icloud yet but I upload my videos to YouTube then link them to Facebook etc... does require a computer. But I can view them online anytime from any device I want to and I can send others a link to the video instead of having to show it to them on my actual iPhone itself.

I have a 32GB iPhone 3GS right now, with 14.2GB free.
I've got about 105 apps and 2,009 photos. When I get my new iPhone, I'm only going to keep 20-30 apps and I want to start emptying the photos on the computer ... soo, I may go 16GB. (most likely 32GB though).

105 apps:eek::eek: what in gods name?

Not sure about the video part since I've had iOS 5 for a few months and not yet has a video synced to the iCloud.

I actually went up from 32 to 64 because of the new 1080p video recording and the 8MP pics that are going to need more room.

i currently have a 32gb iPhone 4 and i find it perfect for me, but i find myself without an upgrade this year so if my iPhone doesn't sell for $450 then i will probably not even get one. But if i have to i will go lower just so i can get one ill pay the $20 for iTunes match and use that for my music.

I have the 32 GB 3GS, but I'm downgrading to 16 GB. I don't have the money to get 32 again. I always carry my touch with me as well, so I can put my media there and save my phone's storage for apps.

Sell the Touch, get the 64GB. The iPhone can pretend to be a very competent Touch... :D

16GB is enough for me. I watch all my movies on my iPad/iMac, and only have 4GB of music. 10GB for apps and photo's/videos is enough. I have 8GB of apps on my iPad, and have a lot of big games.

To save some money, and, in the past, not needing as much memory, I opted for the 16gb. However, you are right. The hd video and higher mp camera will eat up memory. Oh well, too late...:(

The cloud requires data, and with the low-data in my plan I have no intention of increasing use here. I opted for the 64GB, so I went up from a 32GB phone.

I could increase data in my plan, but I cant see the point as I'm happy with the 500MB here, but I'll revisit thqt after iOS 5 comes out and I see if my data increases

Anything more than 16gb is a waste of $ for me.

No way in hell I would ever put more than 500 songs on my phone. I wouldn't let my phone get cluttered like that...

I had a 32Gb iPhone 4 and had half the memory left on it. I've went for 32Gb again, would have liked to have got 64Gb though as the apps that will take full advantage of the A5 will be close to 1Gb I'd imagine.

It's not really cluttered, but mine has:

1949 songs (10.9GB)
109 Apps (4.9GB)
177 books (1GB, mostly read on iPad, but shared on the phone for the hell of it)
47 Videos (13GB)

Not much room left :) I use my phone for music in the car, movies and tv shows (stocked with extras for the iPhone 4S launch on Friday), plus often audio books and more. It's an item that often shares many items with the iPad 2 so I can watch/listen or read on whatever item is handy at the time.

That would make me claustrophobic! ;)
