3GS and 4S were good to be on the S schedule. I think the 5 was good enough to not warrant the S upgrade cycle. I don't think it's that big of a deal though.

I usually wait until I have the new iPhone in my hands and activated before I sell my old iPhone on eBay. If I had an older iPhone in my possession (4/4S), My 5S would already be listed on eBay.

Well, I did it but not exactly on purpose. I sold my Moto X and iPhone 5S and bought a Galaxy S5. I didn't like the Galaxy S5, but I didn't want to spend the money on anything else, being this close to the iPhone 6 release, so I returned the Galaxy S5 and now I'm back on a flip phone until September.

I'm thinking of listing on swappa for $550. It's the Verizon unlocked model so it shouldn't have a hard time selling. Plus all the accessories are sealed in the box. I never have to use them because I always have extra cords from the previous model.

Makes purchasing the 6 off contract that much easier.

I trade mine in for Amazon credit the day before the keynote. I got $500 for my 4S right before the iPhone 5 launch. You also lock in that rate for a week, at least you did back then. So I was only without my iPhone for a few days. The 5S was the first one that I never upgraded to. This year I'm hoping I get enough on my 64GB iPhone 5 to cover most of the on-contract cost of the iPhone 6 in either 64GB or 128GB. Right now they're offering $330 for my iPhone 5 64GB Verizon. Honestly if it's over $250 by then I'll be more than happy since it's a two year old device!

That's interesting. Might do the same. I am leery of eBay because I had a bad experience of someone paying for my item and once they got it, they cancelled payment.

I've sold quite a few things on eBay recently and it seemed like that couldn't happen now. They take the money and put it in an account that you can't get until you ship the item. Then they make the money available to you.

When did this happen to you?
