Probably?

I have an original Air that I have not used since I got my iPad. I might sell it on ebay or CL to pay for a set of new iPhones when they come out.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Nope! Just use it a whole lot less these days!

Sold my CE MacBook for $ 900 because the screen wasn't the best like the new MacBook pro. Purchase the iPad and the rest of the money left will go towards a refurbish iMac :)

The iPad suits most of my travel needs, and our desktop is plenty for heavy lifting. The reason I need to keep my MBP is because for 6 weeks of the year I travel back home to the USA with my family, and we can't go Mac-less for 6 weeks. The primarily reason is because of we take advantage of fast broadband downloading media for the upcoming 46 weeks on 512kbps.

If it wasn't for that 6 week period, I would totally sell it and buy 2-3 iPads (young family) instead.

Still tempted to downgrade to a white plastic UB MacBook and use the downgrade balance on a second iPad.

I'm getting pretty close to swapping my entire system structure. Will probably sell a MacBook, mini, and monitor and replace them all with an iMac.

No, because the hubby has been waiting patiently to inhert by MacBook (4-5 years now??).

Originally, the plan was to get another laptop...a MacBook pro. However, I cannot use my personal computer at work currently, so that leaves me barely using my MacBook as it is. I purchased an iPad as a go between my work computer and my MacBook pro. Pretty much as my own, ultra portable slice of Apple and the software that I have become accustomed to that is Apple exclusive. I still want to get a MacBook Pro in the future when my laptop goes...but perhaps I might consider a desktop or Mac Mini now. There are certain things that I need a "home base" system for but portability is probably less of an issue now once the iPad arrives.

I plan to sell my netbook, but not my MacBook. It will get replaced by a MacBook pro or MacBook air refresh some time in the coming year.

There are quite a few things that the netbook does better than an iPad, including file management, openoffice.org, gimp and more. But I'm more inclined to carry my iPad when I travel than my netbook. I expect iPad shortcomings to be addressed in OS4 and more later. The iPad is a netbook replacement but not a MacBook replacement... Yet. I do remember reading that iPad is outselling all Macs combined. As iPad gets better, sales can only improve.

But to return to the OT, no not a MacBook replacement just yet. But wait a bit longer...

so far I have not missed it at all using just the iPad, I am really surprised by this.

I have a desktop, a netbook, and an iPad and I can't see going without one of them. There are just some things that my iPad can't do that I can do with my netbook so there is just no way I could sell it.

I have a sub-notebook it's -- more powerful than a netbook but less than 13" laptops. I don't plan on getting rid of it but since I got the iPad, I've used it a lot less. Granted the iPad was twice the price of the sub-notebook, I didn't really use it more for stuff other than couch surfing. It still has its uses but the iPad could be truly amazing with just a few more tweaks and software updates.

I always realize that the iPad cannot replace my MacBook pro. It's absolutely not. However, I rarely use my MBP since I have the iPad.:p

This is true. If the iPad had HDMI output, 2 fully functional usb ports, 1 fully functional sd card reader and supported flash I could sell my netbook. I would still need to keep my desktop though.

If apple were to add these things I would probably get rid of my netbook and get a mac mini. As it is now the iPad is the only apple product that I have.

MacBook is gone but I still have my Core Duo iMac. It occurred to me a few weekends ago that my iMac is about 4 years old and I'm totally happy with it. It's a solid machine and I've experienced zero issues with it.

Already sold

I already sold my mbp. I originally bought it in 2008 as my sole machine but evenntuslly picked up a mini as I don't need any hard core power for what I do (light Photoshop work and DVD burning) so I sold it a week after getting the iPad. No regrets so far. I take the iPad everywhere, whereas I only took my mbp out of the house if I absolutley felt like I needed it.

I'm going to replace my Windows 7 notebook with an iPad when the next iMac refresh happens. Every time I'm near an Apple store, I give the iPads a go and am more impressed each time. An iPad and iMac seem like the best combination for my use.

No... In order to get rid of my laptop the iPad would need to support iDisk, MobileMe, Quicken and network printing at a minimum.

My macbook pro is my only mac so I plan on keeping it. I use my ipad a lot but I still use my macbook as well. They both serve me well!

Yes, I sold mine to finance my iPad. I have a 24" iMac that I bought last Fall. I was on the fence about having a MB and an iMac, but when I heard about the iPad I put my MB up for sale. Got a nice chunk of change from ebay for it. Ended up netting about 200 more than the iPad costs.

I bought it on May 4th, still love it. I am however having some of the reported wi-fi problems and I missed my Genius appt. last week due to some unforeseen work related things.

I went from dropping wi-fi connection about 10 times an hour to being prompted for the wi-fi password 10 times an hour.

I think it has to do with my FiOs router, but there are 20 or so devices hooked up to it that I'd have to redo if I reset the settings, so I guess I'll deal with it for now.

Prob shouldn't answer as still waiting on my ipad - but I wouldnt get rid of my macbook pro - NO WAY.

HOWEVER when it is time to upgrade the MCP in the future I may change to an imac with a lovely big screen!

I had a 13" Macbook Pro, I wasn't really using it much.

Since forever I've always wanted a machine I could and would take everywhere with me. My MBP had too large of a footprint so I didn't bring it all the time, and the couple of netbooks I've had didn't offer good enough battery life, so I never had a machine like that until my iPad. I take my iPad everywhere.

As I said above, I had a 13" MBP but never really used it because I didn't like lugging it around everywhere, I actually sold it so I could pick up my iPad and have some extra cash lying around.

There has been 1 time since I ditched the MBP that I missed it, I wanted to do some light video editing when I was visiting my grandparents a few hours away and couldn't, but other than that I haven't missed it at all.

I am considering getting another notebook for those moments when I might need to do some serious work, I think I'll probably pick up a used non-unibody MBP one of these days.

I have two Windows based laptops and I think one of them is doomed to be sold in favor of an ipad. One day I dream of ditching my desktop and limiting myself to a laptop, an ipad, and an iphone.
