Just noticed this post from AT&T: http://forums.att.com/t5/Data-Messa...dfathering-my-unlimited-data-plan/m-p/4066078
I have had my iPad AT&T since 2010 when they first came out. Yesterday I switch my credit card. iPad is showing it doesn't have unlinited now. now I got to go to AT&T and convince them That I do have it grandfathered in. Anybody have any suggestions on how to handle? I know initial customer service is going to be clueless.
I'm selling all my udp lines and going off the gridFor an additional $5 I will not give up my unlimited plan with AT&T!
If this is the original unlimited iPad plan that you have, it is worth big bucks. Research Mcrumors for this subject and sell them.My wife and I are on the grandfathered unlimited plan. Of course, ATT is jacking up the rate in February to $35. My daughter is on the 2MB plan. Most of the time she's on her schools wifi and doesn't go over the 2GB. But in the summer months, when she's home, she's gone over once or twice. I try to remind her about that. Anyway, looking at my wife's and I usage over the past year or so we don't even go over 2-3 GB combined. So with that said, I'm wondering if it would be worth it for us to switch to one of the value share plans. ATT's offer of waiving my contract termination fee is tempting. Any thoughts on this, or is someone else in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!

Finally gave it up. With the expansion of wifi our shared usage dropped under 1gb a month over the last year. We were just wasting money. It was hard to let go, but $40 a month cheaper made it much easier and finally we can tether.
