If you think the Max is big, go to BB and pick up one of the demo Note 10 Plus phones. They are ridiculously big. Don't know what Samsung was thinking....the Plus is ginormous and the 10 regular is way smaller with less memory and a much smaller battery. They went to extremes with either model of that flagship.

When the first Plus iPhone (6) became available, I got it on launch day. I was thrilled and still wanted bigger. Moved to 7Plus when it came out. I did not get the 8 because it did very little more than the 7. The first X was small, but was better, to me functionally. Stayed with the 7Plus.

I grabbed the Xs Max on launch day. I love, but would love something just a little larger for a few reasons. First, slightly larger text onscreen would be really nice. And, still more battery life would be nice. I would like an SD slot ( yeah, that will not happen). So, to get these things, a larger device is indicated.

So, I love the Max, but give me MORE.

I've had the Max since launch. I'm also thinking of going back to the iPhone 11 5.8" option next month. I still have the X as a backup phone and between the 2, I think I prefer the X's feel.

Owning the Xs Max, is more psychological for me than anything. The Xs I had was perfect, but always left me lingering a little bit... what if I got the Xs Max.

Got the Xs Max, no more lingering.

No. That’s why it’s called the Max.
"Too big" is a completely relative term. What’s "too big" for some is perfect for others.
For me, X and XR are "too small". It’s all subjective and based on each persons usage case.
Size topics have been beaten to death. We’re into our 11th month and still getting new threads.

I don’t think good design is “relative” at all, though I do understand the point you are making. I think in general it is too large to be comfortable and use one-handed, and is more of a specialty device for the people who like it. If the Max was Apple’s only choice, it would be bad design.

I have the Max and at times I feel its too big. Most of the time I love it when reading articles, using social media or watching Youtube. But other times like when I only have one hand free and need to type something its almost impossible or depending on what jeans or slacks im wearing I can barely get it in and out of my pocket. I thought about getting an XR but after owning the Max the XR would seem like a downgrade in almost every way. So I'll be sticking with my Max for a long time.

More battery life will always be nice. Right now I'm torn, wanting one of those Morphie or maybe even that Apple extra batter case. I took a ton of pics and video last night...about 4 hour and was down to 37% from 100%. Eh.. SD slot..sure, but I can't see it from Apple. BIGGER...of course. Maybe not the size of the phone itself but total full screen, 0 bezels, no "notch." Who knows, maybe 2020...2021?

I think my SE screen is too big haha (original iphone screen size was my ideal). But that’s because when I’m out, I want to be on my phone as little as possible. At home, however, I’m always on my ipad mini.

Not to big, but I would like a version with GFRP or Carbon instead of glass ( to make it lighter)
