I did a couple and each time i give my blood they test it too. Lucky so far !

A few years back, I got a letter from the Center for Disease Control alerting me that I had received a bone graft for a dental procedure from a cadaver that had not been approved or screened as a donor body. The company harvesting the bone was essentially stealing bone from dead people without permission from the family of the dead person and no screening was done to ensure that the body didn't have AIDS or some other transmittable disease. I went in for a series of blood tests the next day and was in emotional misery the following week waiting for the results to come in. Thankfully, all tests were negative. This kind of thing can be very stressful for some people, and it was for me.

For one, If you need to be tested for an std, you probably are eligible to donate. ( re the questions they ask about your sexual history before you donate)

second, What if you do have it and they don't catch it, not only you won't know you have it yet(because if they find it they will let you know, partially for your health, and so you don't donate again), but then you have probably spread it to someone or even more than one person. Then that person/people won't know they have it, and they could spread it to others and it goes on and on.

third because where i donate it specifically says not to on the information they have to give you.

"You may not donate if you:

have cold or flu symptoms on the day of donation or do not feel well
have ever used a needle to take nonprescription drugs
had hepatitis after the age of 11
ever had a positive Hepatitis B or C test
are at risk of catching or spreading the AIDS virus."

I could not find where it mentions not to donate just to be tested for an std, it it does say it somewhere.

I don't like talking about my problems (especially on the internet), but could be due to:
-Lack of hiring places
-My growing misanthropic attitude
-Negative viewpoint on the world
-Friends are in summer courses, the girl I like...ed...lets just say I'm epic fail.
-My own personal retardation
-Low funds

Are you an emo dude?

Yeah. I have the flap of black hair over the eyes, tight jeans, and if it wasnt for my wrists, I'd have nothing to slit.

Awwwww!
An emo Asian!!! :p
I'm Asian too, don't worry.
I got the hair over the eyes, tight-ish jeans, but I'm still missing the wrists.

I suppose you can hijack the thread now, considering that the OP's negative.
To the OP: Glad you're okay!

All negative! Woohoo!!!
Congrats.

Remember, HIV can take a while to show up. Wait a few months and get tested again.

Regarding Tokyo and the ladies that you might meet in Roppongi, be careful. :)

BTW, I was up at your location yesterday for work. Traffic was terrible coming back in the rain.

Been tested for everything several times, all negative.

I've also been vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B and meningitis.

To all of you- always assume that anyone you sleep with has an STD- ALWAYS. Use condoms and reasonable caution.

Yes. Every sexually active person should. Glad to be done with that now though, all happily married and stuff. :)

It's been mentioned already in this thread but I'll say it again. Get re-tested for HIV in 3-6 months time and perhaps once more a year later. It's got an insidiously long incubation period sometimes.
You should also learn to put on a condom while inebriated. ;)

Yes- this always puzzles me. If you go out partying, always make sure you've got supplies on hand.
