It took me an hour of trying last night but my order finally went in at 1 am using the Apple Store App. 64 gigs / white&silver / 6+ Delivers 9/19.

I almost gave up. The Apple website and the AT&T website were jammed. Even the app wasn't working but just as I was about to quit it went thru.

Ordered an AT&T 128gig Space Grey 6 Plus via the Apple store app on my iPhone at 1:25am mountain time. Scheduled for in store pick up on 9/19.

Was it frustrating?

Got up at 1:30 am CST.. cannot get in until 4.

Verizon allows me to order thru them at 3:30 am to get gold iPhone 6 plus. The deliver day was 10/7, however I cannot add a device thru Verizon. When Apple is alive at 4 am, I ordered the gold iPhone 6 and the deliver day is 9/19.

Is it frustrating?

My guess is that those who preordered early, yet have a shipping date later than 9/19 will receive status/shipping updates that bump up their time frame to the 19th.

For example, OP who ordered a 128GB Plus in Silver with a 14-21 days to ship. That shipping status will change and be closer to the 19th.

That's what happened to me on my 5 preorder.

Happened with my 4S preorders (2 phones) as well. I assume in the week interval there are some (read: lots of) extra phones that pop up, maybe canceled orders or new shipments from China that were able to make it faster than expected.

I suppose I'll go to the Apple Store on Friday and maybe get lucky. But I'm unlikely to be close enough to the front of the line to get whatever meager supply they have, and the 'campers' certainly deserve to get it before I do since they went to all that trouble. I won't be there more than an hour or so before opening. Now last year that worked out for me, and I didn't pre-order then for some reason I don't recall . But this year I don't really expect it to work.
