iPhone X Anyone getting the 512 GB models?

The only reason I am doing 512 is because I am in the upgrade program and it's just an added fee to my costs each month. I would never flat out pay for the 512, I'd by a laptop.

This was my philosophy going into the iPhone X last year on iUP. I guess this year I reached my own personal limit-- while I'm sure I could afford the extra $12 it would be to jump to 512gb Xs Max, it's starting to feel a little ridiculous (both the individual monthly payment for the phone and the overall price, especially when you figure AppleCare+ in there...) and I have historically *always* jumped on the maximum storage Apple would give me. First year not getting the very most expensive iPhone for me.

On the other hand, if I was feeling tight on space with my current 256gb, I'd probably have already reserved a 512gb device It just turns out that 256gb should still be plenty for me for the next year, I've got 110gb free still I think.

The kicker is AppleCare+. I have never had to use it, and only started buying it with my first "Plus" sized phone because I knew larger phones were more susceptible to screens cracking in general. If I had the option to finance at 0% and trade in every year without paying for AppleCare+, I think I might be tempted to use that $200 instead to get the 512gb model.

I have over 200+GB of music on my phone that is only going to grow. I also use my iPhone for professional photography and videography. I have recorded over 200GB of 4k footage (mix of 24 and 60 fps) over the past year alone. I have had to perform SO many transfers from my phone to my Mac and back. A 512GB iPhone would make my life so much more easier.

512 here. I have a ton of tiff pics, and 15,000 trance songs dating back to the 90’s stored on my phone. My 256 X is tapped for space

I've kept mine for over 4 years now, and I'm going to opt for the 256gb model. Which is 4x more space than the 64gb. 512gb, is overkill for me.

What’s the point in paying the extra fees for something your not gonna use.

I was very close to going the 512 but ended up struggling to justify the 200 pound difference in the UK compared to the 256gb. I am coming from a 64gb 6s and am sick of constantly having to delete stuff because when completely full performance drops considerably. If I never deleted anything I am certain the space used would have been around 80-100gb.

I can see myself maybe regretting my choice down the track when it gets to the limit, but I imagine I won't be getting to that point for at least a couple of years.

If I wasn't about to go travelling I probably would have gone the 512gb but I could use that extra cash for the trip and for now, 256 is a big enough upgrade over 64gb for me.

Until I started using Lightroom on my 256gb iphone, i only tended to use about 50gb and it felt like a waste of money. Whereas now - im constantly having to delete photo collections from my phone so another 512gb will be nice

what would u need 512GB, what type of files do you store?

i currently have the 256gb iphone x and i only used 28GB of 256GB. I do have icloud (200gb) to store photos and other data though.. So for the iphone xs max i went to 64gb.

This is true, different people have different use cases. I personally like storing my own music, photos etc to the actual phone rather than iCloud.

While some people aren't happy with 64gb being the entry level capacity for $999, it's hard to argue with apple's reasoning when there are a number of people out there that don't see the value in getting a higher capacity anyway.

I will go for 512gb. As I tend to travel alot; its easier to store movies and tv shows on the phone rather than carry iphone and ipad.
