I have been using a 15" Powerbook for about five years now. I actually just sold it yesterday, and will be parting with it completely this weekend. I am selling it in order to prepare for a new MBP. I am thinking of getting the 13" but there is the question in the back of my mind of is it big enough?? I think it will be.

I have a 15" MBP as my work machine. When I bought my personal MBA, I was not 100% sure that I would be happy with the smaller screen, but I wanted the lighter weight MBA anyway.

After using the MBA for for about 8 months, I am delighted with the 13" screen. I will soon be replacing my 15" MBP with a 13" MBP for my work machine. My personal machine will continue to be a MBA.

I went from a 15.x" Toshiba laptop to a 10" Dell notebook (for about a day) and then to a 13" MBP. It's probably my favourite computer ever. So yes, do it, but like someone else said wait for the refresh, sell your 15" and get the updated 13"

Awesome! I'm glad you guys have been happy with the smaller screen. I just sold my 15" PB (in my sig) to someone on craigslist for $450!! So now the LONG  wait for the refresh starts...

Me. And I'm buying a 13" again when the refresh comes in. I suspect it depends on what you use your computer for though. I'm a programmer, not a pixel pusher.

13" is enough for working with xcode? How can you do that ?? :)

it all depends on what you CHOSE.....

If your happy what you Have Then you wont complain.
After all we are human and we Greedy ( @ some point ) ;) .

I have a 15inch and i could not imagine working on anything smaller.

15inchs is the PERFECT size for me.

Same here. I think 15" is a perfect compromise between the overall size and still having decent enough screen resolution. Though I would really welcome a resolution jump up to 1680x1050.

*not the original poster* but I run Eclipse on my 13". It's just fine. I strongly suspect I'll move from 13 to 15 though because I want more horsepower. I want a laptop *faster* than the 3.2GHz C2D desktop I have. I also want that dedicated GPU...

Formfactor-wise, 13" is really the sweetspot. But the stats just aren't there.

I went from 13" to 15" & it's a massive difference, at first it seemed very small & thought I would get used to it, which I did, but every time I used a 15" I wish I had one again, I've recently switched back, currently typing on the 13" with the 15" in background, & the 15" looks far bigger.

I went from a 15" Powerbook G4 to a 13" Macbook. At the time I was traveling on a semi-regular basis (flying once or twice a month). The Macbook was a better travel buddy.

If I were traveling less often I would probably prefer the 15" display.

Technically, I just switched from a 17" MacBook Pro C2D to a 13" MBP (Core i something) whenever they decide to release it. I also ordered a 27" iMac 2.8 Quad-core to tide me over though :) I didn't need the portable powerhouse that was the 17" MBP and the wife needed a monitor. I took charge and said "Honey .... let's compromise ...... I'll just sale the 17" MBP and get an iMac and a 13" MBP since the 27" iMac can also be used as a monitor"

I've been a 17" Apple notebook owner since 2003. It will certainly be interesting to see if I miss it!

As a sole machine, going from 15" to 13" I regret, to the extent, that I'm now waiting for the new i5's to get a 15" again.
