I think, as others have pointed out, people always think the grass is greener on the other side. I have had all different companies for cell phone service from Verizon, Sprint-Nextel, and even regional carriers and by far AT&T, to me, has the best coverage for where I travel. I've also never had any problems with customer service although I agree that some of them are quite dim-witted but I think that stems from the fact that AT&T doesn't communicate well with the different levels of employees.

Originally I had better coverage with Verizon in san Diego, but AT&T's coverage has improved significantly since I bought the original iPhone.

AT&T has had much better customer service than I ever got at Verizon. I also hated the way Verizon crippled every phone I ever bought. I'd often read online that the same phone on Sprint would have bluetooth transfer, but Verizon had it locked out.

In my opinion, AT&T is the winner between Verizon and AT&T.

I've had very good luck so far with my EDGE based iPhone. This will be my first 3G phone when my 3Gs arrives.

But AT&T hasn't done anything to upset me. Verizon never treated me bad, but they didn't have an iPhone.

If AT&T were to lose the exclusivity, I would probably move right along to the next company if the next gen iPhone were on a different carrier and was significantly better than the 3Gs.

I've been 100% happy with AT&T since the iPhone originally came out. No problems at all. I'm pretty happy to give them my money and am completely satisfied.

Att service is great. My only complaint is that the mms won't be ready for a while while most other carriers will have it right away

Cell phone coverage at my house (next to the water) has always had terrible service; whether Sprint/Verizon/AT&T/Cingular, they ALL suck big time, but what am I gonna' do? MOVE!!!:eek::eek:

My father-in-law lives in what I would call the country - although I don't know if that's an accurate description - but he's never been able to get service out there nor have I or my wife. He bought the iPhone 3G about two months ago but still has to keep a home phone for when he's at the house.

I've had AT&T since they were AT&T before switching to Cingular and then back to AT&T and I have no complaints about them (besides the whole MMS fiasco). Great coverage, great customer service, especially compared to my experiences with Verizon and T-Mo.

I just ate a grape and I ........

off-topic but lmao

I like att... ofcourse theyre expensive but so far so good no major problems.. I have 2 accounts with them.. and have had no issues...

If att looses exclusivity will I jump switch... definetely not... but I'm sure apple will make an iphone for att and the other carriers next year...

AT&T sucked last year at this time but since the release of the 3G they've gotten a lot better in this area. There haven't been any outages in several months and 3G data is actually faster than EDGE. I wouldn't mind a real unlimited data plan but aside from that, I can't complain.

I just switched from Verizon because of the iPhone and Verizon's lack there of crappy phones, if your not into Blackberry's you have jack as an option.

There service is good however there customer support lacks a lot, also there VZ apps is horrible and their plans are equal in costs.

I bought the iPhone more for it's features and integration with Macs, however I am really hoping that Apple sells another version to Verizon this way everyone goes to Verizon and AT&T service gets better from all the people leaving AT&T :D

Seriously at this point I hope Apple and AT&T work it out I think they caught a bad rap because all of the iPhones on their network caused some bottlenecks however Verizon and Sprint would have the same issue, the only service I hate is T-Mobile I have a work Blackberry and I never get a good signal.

Just wait until Verizon and Sprint dump CDMA/EVDO and everyone jumps on the GSM bandwagon, they are only better now because no one is on their network, so AT&T would be better if they were all alone on their own too.

I am basically not a big phone call user, I do a lot of email and Texting so as long as that works and all my apps also WIFI, I am golden, I will deal with the bumps and hurdles just as long as their service doesn't go downhill but I do not see that happening. I am ok with MMS bc I use email to send photos anyway, but as far as tethering I can take it or leave it bc I do not need to pay an extra $30 per month for a service I would hardly use.

I hope everyone is happy and Good Luck to all who are getting the 3GS like me on Friday, and to those who have the 3G, you still have one hella of a phone, way better then all the phones on the network...:D
