I have the iPad 3 and the iPad Mini.....and I use both at different times. In the warm weather, I sit out on my deck with the iPad 3 on a stand on the table and the retina screen makes everything easier to see and to read. Sometimes I take the Apple BT keyboard out there, too, if I know I'll be doing some extensive typing. The iPad Mini is the one which goes with me everywhere when I leave the house. Of course I use it around home as well, and in the cold winter I love curling up under a cozy blanket with the iPad Mini -- so much easier and lighter to hold! I do tend to use the iPad Mini more often than the heavier iPad 3 but am very glad to have that larger screen with the sharper resolution as well. I am looking forward to seeing what Apple brings us with the iPad 5....... If the iPad Mini 2 does not have retina, I'll hold off on that a while longer, as my current iPad Mini does just fine for my needs.

I probably will wind up buying one of each when the new iPads come out, but not necessarily at the same time.

I'm getting the iPad 5. I need a larger screen for my big hands. Plus the obvious speed difference!

I know we don't know what all to expect from the next gen's of the mini and full sized iPad. But as the mini is meant to cost less, it's clear that it won't get the latest internals for the most part.
I figure they will bump the mini to an A6 but no higher for cost purposes.
This is why I'm getting the iPad 5.
I want the newer hardware and as the leaks suggest, a pretty sweet design!
