Similar to the 6s and 7 threads, wondering if anyone is brave enough to run a 6 for another year, considering iOS 11 is arriving? And considering that the 6 was always short on memory......

I have a 6 plus and I think I'm overdue a change.

But on the other hand, though I'm tempted by an 8, I do wonder would it be best to wait for the 8s iteration, or whatever its going to be called.

I actually could keep my 6 for another year. There's nothing wrong with it. Still does everything I need and runs the latest OS with no problems. Battery still easily gets me through the day.

But I feel like something new. I wouldn't mind a larger display, even a slightly better camera, and as I accumulate more pictures and music I'm creeping closer to the limit of its 64GB capacity (although there's a lot of stuff I could delete if storage space truly became a problem).

All things considered, I don't have to upgrade, but it's likely that I will order an "8" or maybe a "7s plus" next month.

If you simply want iOS 11 to run smoothly, why not consider upgrading your 6+ to 7+ once the new phones 8 & 7S are out, lowering the prices for 7 and 7+? This will guarantee you a smooth use for another couple of years while Apple are fine-tuning all the new technologies (OLED screens, facial recognition, wireless charging, etc.).

I think its for the same reason as the guys quoted below - I fancy a change and the new design. Hope its at a sensible price. If not, a 7 may appeal.

My iPhone 6 is smooth, battery wear is at 97%.

Still, it's time for an upgrade and the new iPhone 8 design interests me.

I'm also in the same boat. I've been looking around to see where I could get a 7 plus at a good discount. So far only best buy is offering $100 off. I am wondering how much lower it can go after the new Iphones are announced. From the looks of it, there isn't much improvement from the 7 to 7s.

heck no i'm not keeping this! my battery wear is at 49% and can't even keep the charge until 10-11am with moderate usage. percentage jumps around and i've been forced to keep a mophie juice plus battery case on it for the last month or so just to last the day. it's slow and sluggish. the iPhone 7s/8/x/edition/pro can't come soon enough. hopefully at&t does another buy back credit like they did previously.

Still rocking the 6, but waiting to try out iOS 11 first, they might have optimised it well for me to keep it for another year, otherwise will just get the 8 now.

I'm going to rock my iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for another year till iPhone 8s next year keeping both phones on iOS 10.3.1.

I have a 6Plus, and got it on release day. I am considering keeping it another year. Battery life is still a champ too.

I have no use for the big screen anymore, and want to downsize, which is why i may upgrade to an eventual SE2.

I am however sick of the design and just want something fresh. I may not be able to hold out for an 8. So who knows.

Had my 6 plus for 2 and a half years and could probably still run it for a while longer. I'd like to upgrade to the 8 but it's all going to depend on price. If it's too pricey I may opt for a 7 (wanting to downsize) or keep running the 6 plus until next year. The thing is I'm getting a little bored of it now and as I've said I'd like to downsize so we'll see.

Running a 2.5 year old 64gb 6plus...currently out of space but phone is running great and battery is still great. Moms is waiting on this one as she refuses to pay more than $100 for a phone. I'll scour Swappa for a reasonable 256gb 7plus next year since I'm done with $800-1000 phones and payment plans. Really could use the better camera for vacations..

I am thinking about keeping mine. I have no real reason to upgrade.. except if my daughter can't continue with her 5. I could either buy her a used one or give her mine.

My 6 Plus is still going strong and it’s even better on iOS 11 (beta 8). Not interested in upgrading yet. The iPhone 8 will really have to blow me away for me to fork over the cash.

I'm also tired of the design and it seems like Android has fixed most of their issues of the past. I am looking at phones with better Music Sound output now and different design. Mainly the LG V30. I am excited to see the iPhone 8 also but don't want to deal with searching for one on pre-order day(although it is fun). I am hoping scalpers don't buy out all the iPhone 8's to resell them on eBay.

No 1/16th size camera sensor is going to stack ip against an inexpensive MILC. Get a standalone camera.
