Similar to the 6s and 7 threads, wondering if anyone is brave enough to run a 6 for another year, considering iOS 11 is arriving? And considering that the 6 was always short on memory......
I have a 6 plus and I think I'm overdue a change.
But on the other hand, though I'm tempted by an 8, I do wonder would it be best to wait for the 8s iteration, or whatever its going to be called.

Absolutely will not carry a separate camera on vacation. I don't need an award-winning photo...but would like better photos and video than my current phone. 7+/7S+ will work fine for me.No 1/16th size camera sensor is going to stack ip against an inexpensive MILC. Get a standalone camera.
I am going to try to stay with my iPhone 6. I am very happy with it and, hopefully, iOS11 won't slow it down too much. If it does, I would consider going to an iPhone 7 but don't think I could handle forking out $1,000 for an 8!
Battery degradation doesn't work like that. You'll see the difference in usage, and will only have an impact if stored without charge for a very long time.
The 7+ has a (limited) trick up its sleeve with the dual cameras/portrait mode, but otherwise the pictures you will get from these phones on holiday, in good light, will be barely any different at all to the pictures your current phone produces. Despite all the hyperbole these are all ridiculously small sensors which - thanks to physics - are severely restricted in quality, and the improvements in them year on year are always vastly overstated.Absolutely will not carry a separate camera on vacation.
