Wow! Is CompUSA really gone?

As a former employee there back when G3 and G4 macs were the reign, I remember how much discrimination there was towards Mac people. All that + the fact I originally was hired as a corporate account rep in the back of the store, and only a few months later in August of 1999, the corporate offices in the back of the stores closed down. I was offered a job on the hardware sales floor making 8.15 an hour - Scott Hall, general manager told me that my pay in the corporate back offices was equal to the retail floor.

It was here that I also bought my 1st G4 350 mhz sawtooth machine for 1599 + discounts. I didn't like Floyd sample either and he was a big fat turd who just loved to walk around and rant!

I can't believe that the almighty compusa is gone forever. I feel sorry for the employees there. They should have seen the signs that this was coming. I saw it and it was in 2001 I left.

It's the same at my local store (Towson MD). Apple hardware is still only 5% off and there is hardly anything left at that.

What can we realistically expect for Apple accessories and software? Should I keep a lookout at my local store, or is it not worth it?

Why people insist on resurrecting ancient dead threads I,ll never know.

Why people insist on complaining about resurrecting ancient dead threads I'll never know....

What difference does it make? Would you have rather him create a new thread, and then someone else link to this thread?
