You're a bigger buzz kill than Buzz Kilington! It isn't a wallpaper, that is Aperture.
Sorry guys just went to the Apple store to check. Went through Aperture and iPhoto on the new rMBP and there is NO zebra stock on there as far as I could tell. Hopefully I am wrong but I did a quick view of all the photos in the aperture library. Nice stuff but no Zebra action.
I think we as a community will have to pony (no pun intended) up the cheese to get this img.

I don't think it is 75 for everyone but per user. Anything else (such as sharing it) is piracy
At least it will get £50. What do you call then if somebody got it from a Apple Store ? Thats more like piracy.
Both are piracy, or copyright infringement if you will
Can you confirm if the image would get resized if you try to email it to yourself from Aperture ?
This Tuesday evening, I hope to pass by my Apple Store and will see what I can do concerning the Zebra photo.
Also, if there is enough people interested to pay the fee (£50) for the image, we could gang up and split the fee ? i'm in but will not pay more than £5. We need at least 10 people, so £5 each. if more people, then cheaper![]()
I'd be more than happy to pitch in, but how could we all give in say £5 to somebody? Can you do it through PayPal?

Maybe try and get a moderator, have a MR paypal pool and pitch in X amount to obtain the wallpaper?
This isn't going to work.
What moderator would be stupid enough to accept £5 from 10 users to purchase a high res wallpaper for the sole purpose of pirating it?
You're almost guaranteed to "get caught". Assuming for a second that the owner isn't flooded with requests for this photo at £50 a pop, as soon as he sells it suddenly it gets posted all over the internet? OH I WONDER WHO DID THAT?
The owner has said he will only sell it at £50 PER PERSON. We disagree, but it's his photo. He can charge £1,000 for it if he wants.
I also agree with you, but I, personally, not planning to pirate it and spread it all over the web.
Why not just email the photographer and ask how for a jpg?
That doesn't matter.
It's the person chosen to collect the £50 and purchase it who puts their ass on the line.
I'm guessing unless the owner is getting tons of orders for this photo it is fairly easy to work out who distributed it, and if the owner wanted to he would be free to pursue them.
Yes but one is better than the other.
Well I will be reporting any links that I see in this thread as it is violating copyright. The photographer has the right to be compensated appropriately for his work.
I also agree with you, but I, personally, not planning to pirate it and spread it all over the web. What others want to do with it, its there problem.
I want this photo for a wallpaper, and ready to contribute. Sadly, I am not rich enough to spend £50 on it.
This is the best option for me, certainly not hacking there servers to obtain it![]()
Wow. Just...wow.
This dude flies to Africa, not an entirely safe place, with a lens pack that probably cost him as much as a Smart FourTwo. He gets shaken down by just about every crook and criminal he comes into contact with - it's all part of African tourism. He takes pictures of dangerous animals that could step on him or eat him. He gets in a helicopter in a third world country, where there's no FAA to regulate aircraft maintenance. He takes a great picture and probably a couple thousand lousy or mediocre pictures.
So he wants to sell it for $50 per person. You're going to violate his license and take it from him for $5 per person. Oh, but you won't spread it across the internet. Such consideration! And when the other parties to this clumsy theft, who obviously aren't made from the same great moral fibre that you are, _do_ share it across the internet and **** this poor photographer over for his work, that's "their problem".
I guess I'm just glad that you aren't "hacking into their servers", because that would really be so much worse.
