Anyone less enthusiastic about the 4?

I upgraded from the S3 38mm to the 40mm. At first i hesitated, because it doesn't really do anything i couldn't do before (and that i need).

But somehow i still ended up ordering one.

And i have to say i'm liking it way more than i expected. A big part of that is obviously the screen. It still surprises me how much better it feels to have more area to see things. and have the display go further into the corners. It would definitely be hard to go back now.

And for me personally 40mm is just the perfect size. I had a 42mm S2 once, it was a bit too big for me. Then i tried the S3 38mm, it seemed a bit to small on my wrists.... 40mm somehow seems to be perfect.

And i also switched from Alu to SS for the first time and it does look and feel a bit more premium to me now.

The haptic crown is okay. It doesn't always feel perfect, but sometimes it feels pretty real. But i could turn it off and i would likely not miss it at all.

Yeah, someone has to ask. Someone who is sitting on the idea but doesn’t use his Series 1 for anything more than a fitnesses tracker.

They are out of stock near me so I’m mulling the idea. :apple:

Anyone sticking with their S3, S2, S1 or the dedicated ones with an S0? :cool:

The second I saw the larger and more clear screen, I was sold. No disappointment here.

I'm more excited by the S4 than ever. IMO, the screen alone is well worth the upgrade from *any* prior edition.

iPhone 6/7/8 : iPhone X as AW S0/1/2/3 : AW S4

It's a game changer. Takes the every day experience of using it to a whole new level.

I picked up my prior series AW to pack it for shipping. When the screen lit up...wow it's tiny. Could never go back.

Well I caved. Told myself I was going to stick with my series 2...but didn’t. Picked up a silver aluminum series 4 today. Been on my wrist for 3 hours now. Don’t even know it’s there. Biggest thing for me is the comfort. The series 2 of original just weren’t that comfortable to me. This thing is. And it sits lower than the previous 2 I had. Snappy fast too. I’m impressed so far. I kind of avoided doing things in my previous 2 because of how long it took to load everything. Time will tell if things change since this one loads everything so much faster.

Have Series 0 and 2 and omg I love the 4. The screen is so beautiful, all my apps look way better...probably because I’m old and I can now see them without bringing the watch right up to my face . I love the new modular watch face. I like lots of complications so everything is at hand. The only thing I’m disappointed with is the bands. I got the aluminum and I didn’t like either band it came with. So I’m using my pride band instead of the one I got with it. Hoping they’ll bring out more bands soon.
 
I wasn't planning to upgrade, but between the screen and the faster processor, I'm very tempted.

But...I want the 44mm SS and I can't seem find one anywhere. Yes, I could order and wait it out, but my S3 is barely a year old and it seems stupid to upgrade. My hesitation is my way of trying to talk myself out of it.

I don’t know what the big deal is once you shower.
 
I upgraded from an S3 to an S4 this week. I wasn’t planning to, but the force touch on my 3 stopped working. I have over a 310 day streak on closing my rings, and even though my 3 was still under warranty, I could not part with it for one day, let alone 10.

I love the S4 so much more than I expected to. I never thought the screen on the 3 was small but I am amazed at how much easier to read the slightly larger face is. It just feels better overall for unexplained reasons.
 
This thread has basically been hijacked. Everyone loves their Series 4, even if they had Series 3.
 
not so happy with the half assed product release. Make walkie talkie work 100% of the time. and get Mail and Messages to work on infograph. and get Alarm to work on Info modular. And Get Infomodular to have seconds.

But AW4 > AW3. But the price is higher. So ...
 
The worst part about the series 4 is that they ruined the Utility face by rotating the complications.
 
Agreed.

Although I’ve never been a fan of Utility face due to it looking like Mickey ears. The curved large complication at the bottom accentuates this even more. I cannot unsee it, like the dong at 12 o’clock on Omega Speedmasters.
