clean install went like a charm.

only issue so far is time machine - it spent all day backing up just 70Gb data to an FW drive, then got to the end and just sort of gave up. i'm not sure what went wrong, but i'm not bothered. i'll set it going again on a 500Gb FW disk instead of a 120Gb, so there's more space for more backups, hopefully it'll be fine this time.

i'm happy - because it's the best start i've had to a new version of Mac OS X yet. :D

No issues here.
Erase and install on a Quad G5 Powermac with 4GB Ram.

I think it seems like everyone has issues because the people with problems are more vocal. People with no problems are busy exploring and playing with the new cat, not on the forums bitching. ;)

Sidenote: Coverflow/Quicklook are amazing. Spotlight and Smart folders are awesome as well. My one gripe is, I wish I could turn off stacks and get my old "folder with menus" functionality back.

I did an archive and install. No problems here. And for the record, my system is on a drive to itself, so installing wasn't a big deal for me. All my data and other files are on my other drives.

Upgrade install then a Clean install on a Mac Pro (couldn't wait to try out Leopard last night so did a quick upgrade on my Mac Pro before clearing it down this morning :)), and upgrade installs on 2 Mac Book Pros (1 with Bootcamp and XP on) and zero problems on any of them

No issues here after a clean install. When I plugged my iphone in it took the setting from mail and applied them and then added my entire address book as well as calendar appts into iCal.

No problems at all and it feels quicker than Tiger. Not one complaint especially since I used my apple credit and only paid $40 for it.

I did an upgrade at first but experienced some bugs. This morning I did an erase & install since I have a backup drive and now it's flying. I'm quite impressed with setup assistant and its usage of my backup drive. All my settings are the same and iTunes and iPhoto are exactly as I left them. Next major release I'll be doing an erase & install.

Did an upgrade on my mbp 2.33 3gb. No issues worth mentioning.

Have been suffering minor application problems but those are solely due to their incompatibility with leopard. No issues whatsoever during leopard upgrade itself.

Still haven't loaded it on my MBP, but on the Mac Pro install was painless. I think it took about 20 minutes. About 4 hours to reinstall all other programs. I RAIDed together a couple 150G 10K drives for my start up volume and it is running slick as hell.

PowerBook G4, no issues as of yet. I don't have an external drive, so I haven't tried out Time Machine yet. I did notice that I can't share my screen with another Leopard user on iChat, maybe because I've got a second monitor (time to search the forums, methinks).

I'll do a clean install once my external shows up and I can back up some stuff. My computer has not been wiped in its 10.3/10.4/10.5 lifetime, so maybe I'll turn up some bugs when I try that.

Those of you that haven't had problems, did any of you have clear dock installed? I am still waiting for my UTD disk, but I am worried the unsanity clear dock is going to mess up my install. I have already uninstalled the application enhancer and clear dock. I plan on doing an archive and install. Do you think I will be alright?

Clean install and no problems with Leopard.

The only issues I have had are all external: EyeTV not finding channel lineup on server (resolved itself around midnight), and .Mac not syncing my calendar (still not working, but according to .Mac: sync is till undergoing maintenance, I also found a workaround to get my calendar data back).

Clean installation, no problems. I had the duplicate "On My Mac" problem in Mail, but it's easily fixed. Other than that, everything is perfect. All my Apps work, etc.

yep, should add my voice to the number of us who have had no problems wiht the upgrade.
did my MacBook on Friday night - went without a hitch

i tried upgrading my old iLamp G4 but apparently it's not up to the minimum system requirements - that's the only issue i've had so far, but i'm not too concerned as i didn't buy a copy of Leopard for that anyway, just in case, but tonight i'll be upgrading my intel iMac and we'll see how that goes

Aside from...

Aside from some issues with ilife in the first minutes, pre update, I thought that I was doing good until I started working with Dashboard.

I started a thread explaining the issues after I looked around for any other posts or threads.

I got a MBP at the Leopard first sale that was supposed to have Leopard pre-installed, and didn't. I just stuck the dvd in and did an upgrade, figuring that the system didn't have time to pick up any lint.

If more bizarre things happen, I may blow the drive and clean install it although I've already started 'nesting'...

The upgrade said that it would take 2.5 hours to do but took alot less time, thank god...

i have to ask becuase the seemingly blatant bugs on this release makes it seem like it is not ready for prime time despite being released late.

anyone?

This OS is a MESS... it's doing random things like WINDOWS does... hehe... and I have an almost new MacBook... wow.... NOT impressed

Upgrade install on a MBP, not one issue, from start to finish it took 28 minutes. Time Machine backed up 56 gig in 65 minutes, again, not one problem.

I've done an archive and install on two systems (iMac Core Duo and PowerBook G4) and both went just as smooth as silk. Leopard seems a lot more stable and faster than both Panther and Tiger were at their initial release from my experience.
