Anyone replace iPad with iPhone 6 plus?

I wouldn't say that my 6+ has replaced my iPad Air, but I do find myself reaching for my phone much more often than my iA these days.

I will say that had I never had an iPad, I probably wouldn't consider one after having the 6+.

I have a 6 and an iPad 3. While I don't have a Plus, I cant even imagine giving up my iPad completely. In fact I want a new iPad. In my opinion a phone could never give the same experience at home in bed or couch as an iPad.

You are right, but I guess some people use an iPad mini when they could do the same things on a bigger phone. For those people iPhone 6+ can replace the mini, but they are a minority.

So, from what Im gathering..........

The iPhone 6 replaces the iPad... Great!!!

The iPad replaced the laptop.......Cool!!!

The laptop replaced the desktop..... Excellent.

So..........The iPhone 6 replaced the Desktop.....AWESOME !!!!


In my opinion, none of these replacements occur. Maybe the laptop/desktop, but even then....not.

If you don't have the money for an iPad, or HAD to choose between one or the other, the iPhone 6 will work, but I would NEVER get rid of the iPad because I got the iPhone 6 (or 6 plus).

If I had a mini I could see myself not using it anymore, but I don't have an iPad atall so I'll get an Air or whatever the new version of it is

I have an iPad 3, I still use it somewhat but my 6+ has kind of replaced it. I wanted something almost as big as the iPad but I wanted it to have phone functionality. Now I only watch movies, and play games on the 6+. I'll probably sell my iPad eventually.

I have a first gen Mini. I really haven't totally stopped using it because it is still available to me. If I sell it or just pass it on, I am not at this point at least feeling I would miss it.

I have passed my mini retina on to my son since I found myself no longer using it and always grabbing my 6+. I can still always grab it and use it if I wanted though...

I have a feeling a lot of people are using the 6+ instead of an iPad Mini, which is likely why Apple is going to release a 12 inch iPad soon. The Air will be the new "Mini".

If they do, I won't be buying any more iPads...
