Anyone Returning their new iPhone?

My iPhone 5 didn't lag on iOS 7 either! When I go into certain apps like Facebook for example there's a lag between when I go in and when it becomes functional, takes a few seconds and just sits there.

That's not lag lol. The Facebook app for any phone is awful. It's your newsfeed updating, has nothing to do with the iPhone.

Yeah, if the restore doesn't do it, take it to the genius bar and show them.

My 5S and my wife's are slick and fast. Amazingly fast. If you're getting lag, there's something wrong.

True, you would see it more widespread. I just wanted to point out benchmarks don't equate to smooth OS.

The other factor is whether any lag is OS/hardware related or specific to some set of apps. Even the latter could be induced by something in the OS if those apps are hitting some api that other apps aren't hitting.

Other factors could include apps or OS reaching out over the network and encountering some server or carrier or local network related delays that appear as lag but are unrelated to the device.

My only point is that the vague term "lag" could have many different (or multiple) sources. If it's widespread, which reading here doesn't seem to suggest, then that points towards something endemic to the phone. If it's isolated instead, then it points towards something characteristic to those individual users usage/apps/network-conditions or an individual device hardware issue. Of course the latter situation doesn't preclude some endemic condition that appears sporadically.

Be interesting to see how it all works out. I personally have had no issues, everything working fine here.

I got 32gb space gray on launch day but returned for 32gb silver....Business guys called me back to tell me about a 64gb silver that had showed up...swapped to it....didnt care for the previous gen all white but this silver and white is slick....nice and classic looking....

I restored my 5s from my 5 backup.

Great! Please tell me it's a 32gb gold for Verizon and you are in the OC area! With the shortage of the 5s, by all means please return it and let someone else have it. Thanks

No, sorry. I have good taste, I wouldn't touch a gold colored phone... ever!

Well the complete reset worked. For whatever reason, the lag seems to be gone! Definitely feeling better about this now!
