Got black and have been tempted to swap, until I remember that I’ll always have it in a case (toddler) and color won’t be seen much anyway (I don’t like clear cases). So I’m sticking with black because it will go with any case and is visually seamless.

IMO, the black looks so good and sleek. I have the white right now and I like it but that black.. very nice.
I was just explaing to someone that Apple has set up a fail here... I went out yesterday to look at the new phones. When I live in Silicon Valley with an Apple Store never more than 5 mins away, I had the opportunity to see everything. Now, I must make do with Verizon and Best Buy. I started at a GoWireless franchise that only had white and black and a red (wish I would have asked to see the red). Dummard there told me blue and coral weren’t ecen shpping yet. I guess he meant to this store. Next Go Wireless had a blue one in stock and the guy opened the box to show me the color. Oh, too light for me; I wanted a more saturated color. Last night I found that the Verizon corporate store had coral in 128Gb, what I wanted. When I picked it up today, I asked the manager if I could look at the color before I took ot home. No, instead he showed me the colors in a photo and said it is just like this and they are not allowed to open phones for that purpose. Why Apple didn’t send out color “chips” to every store is beyond me; I think they are in for a rash of exchnages.
Anyhow, orange is my favorite color but the coral has too much pink in it, so I decided I would take it back tomoorw and trade it for white or red. It’s a lot of money and a long time to be with less than what I really want. I like light/bright colors because black recedes visually I don’t see it on a surface. But, after spending the evening with it, I am going to take it back for X or XS. I crave the smaller size and better screen and can put an orange case on it to make it the color I really wanted in the first place.
