I guess id be okay if Apple offered a color matched ring but I hate the silver, or gold.

Then again I hate chrome window trim around cars, especially with tint...ive always blacked them out when I could

How are your rings holding up?
Mine just came in the mail. I chose the standard shipping and it took about 4 weeks to come, but I wasn't dying to get them so it didn't really matter.

Well I took mine off because it's not sticking very well and all the dust would stuck underneath and the glue is sticking out. It doesn't look very clean. I Just received these a week ago and it's great, works with touch id also and no need to peel anything off.

Nice, thanks for the follow up. After a day out with mine, it definitely looks great, especially if you have a screen protector/tempered glass. However when I pushed out the sticker part, a majority of the adhesive on the metal ring came off with it. I don't see the glue lasting a few more days.

I think I'll check out that TouchID friendly one. I'm gonna try to find a transparent one.

I'm surprised no one's made one with just the adhesive metal ring. I feel like it'd be popular as it's so simple but looks so great.

Same thought I had, why not just a ring with some adhesive. Instead of a thick sticker on the home button.
Maybe a thin ring is not sticky enough ?
Tried to use remove the ring, wasn't easy. Did remove instantly, hope to find some spare rings, or with easy to remove round inside sticker.

It's just very weird design language that I didn't understand since the iPhone 5S.

The silver and gold both have accent rings in the color of the device. The black is solid black.

The only thing I can think of is that they wanted some way for you to differentiate between the gold and silver models. That just doesn't make sense to me. I wish someone would ask Jony.

Anyways, looks nice! Hope it lasts!

I'm glad their is no "bling" on the home button of the slate grey model. The home button disappears into the black screen and bezel which fits into the minimalistic appearance of the slate grey model.

That's one way to look at it. I hope in the future Apple gives you more options to what your phone can look like.
