I'm upgrading from an original space gray sport watch to the Series 2 Stainless Steel with Stainless Steel Link Bracelet. I kinda went cheap on the original because I wasn't sure I'd like it. Now that I know I like it, I'm going to get a nice one.

For me, the one feature that the Series 2 absolutely had to have for me to upgrade was GPS. Now I won't have to switch back and forth with my Garmin Forerunner for my daily runs (but I will have to swap out bands).

Me and my wife we bought the original watch in Stainless steel. We ordered two stainless steel watches and we will use our old Milano bands. Plan to give the old one to both our moms or daughter in law if she wants one. Did we feel guilty ordering it no. Some times in life you have to treat yourself too. If you are in stable jobs and earn well, what is the point of working? And yes, I ordered the iPhone 7+ plus too.

SS 42 BSB, bought it day 1, cant say I'm thrilled with watch, but still when ordered 7+ ordered the Black SS 42 BSB. I have few bands already.... Wanted black from the start, but didnt want to spend 1k+...

Yes. I am a runner and wanted the gps. I sort of downgraded in case quality, going from the SS to the Aluminum, mostly because I realized I would be upgrading frequently and also because the SS case shows scratches and I even got a scratch on the sapphire screen (likely from my diamond anniversary band). I also wanted a lighter case, because I found the SS to be a bit heavy. I am a bit bummed at the resale of my SS so I won't bother getting another only to take the hit again.

I'm tempted. I have aN original 42 mm SS but thinking of downgrading to a sport. Going to see how WatchOS 3 improves performance on the original and read reviews of Series 2 before deciding.

I won't be upgrading.
Speed and GPS sound great, but they're not enough to tempt me.
If the next generation has a new and more attractive case, that will be a good time for me to upgrade.

Yep, I'm going from a 42mm Stainless Steel (with a saddle brown strap Apple are replacing for me :)) to a Series 2 Stainless Steel with white SB. Toyed with keeping the original and getting a Nike for gym stuff, but the fear of being prompted to run on a daily basis put me off!

I'm going from a 42 SS to a 42 Sport. GPS integration is awesome for me as a runner. I would love to go for a run without having to have my 6S Plus on my arm...

I'm keeping my original. Being faster and more water resistant and a GPS chip are inviting, but not at the expense of it being slightly (probably almost undetectably) thicker. I'll upgrade when it's finally thinner.
