Just started using Gboard here, after being a diehard for the stock Apple keyboard, and super-love it. Especially since it seems like the most stable third-party keyboard that I've ever tried.

Here's the kicker: instead of having 4 keyboards (Apple/English, Emoji, GIF, Bitmoji), I only need 2 (Gboard, Bitmoji)! Sold!

been using swiftkey for a long time - almost right when 3rd party keyboards became available (can't remember what update it was). also tried Gboard for a while too and liked it but i think it's my phone that the 3rd party keyboards don't always pop-up. works about 75% of the time. not sure if it's my low memory iP6 or what?

I've been using Gboard on my iPads for a while and it's been great. Each update has fixed some minor bugs. I'll be switching from android to an iPhone 6s and will definitely be installing Gboard on the phone.

I also use Gboard and it's a lot more reliable then Swype, however the word suggestion and remembering my words isn't as good as Swype though but stability is sooo much better.

Gboard is one of the better keyboards. It unfortunate that 3rd party keyboards dont have access to lock screen when locked.

Seems to consistently have issues on certain sites when inputting text. Facebook is one of them. It won’t respond to backspaces, caps, etc.

Best feature is the swipe on space bar to move the cursor a character or two. Very useful.

Love GBoard, especially coming from Android where swiping is King. I think many people have issues because it takes time to learn the words you like. Since I've been using them for years, it was like riding a bike and no longer having to save shortcuts in the dictionary.

Basically, I've made my iphone a Google phone cause I still use the same apps as if I was still on Android.

I have used gBoard intermittently but after reading this thread I installed SwiftKey and I must say I like that keyboard a lot more.

I still think that it could become a bit smarter by learning the words the user is using. Swype did that a lot better but is overall more buggy then gBoard.

Swiftkey is better than Gboard for me. At least Swiftkey has serbian language + english that I use.

Gboard app (so not the one in the Google app but the separate Gboard app) added new features (behind the 'G' key there is now also Google Maps and YouTube) although I haven't seen it yet but I understood it should become visible in the keyboard soon. I couldn't find an option to active it in the Gboard app settings though.

Swiping is great on the SE.
I completely agree - used to be a one-hand/thumb swipe-aholic on my 5S (same form factor as the SE is), but I couldn't do it very well on the big 6S Plus screen when I moved to that phone - so I gave up swiping.

Now that I'm using Gboard, I've come back to some occasional swiping - but find that I really need to use both hands to stabilize and reach the Q-area.
