Looking at all these photos, I have to say even the smaller Watch looks huge. There's no way I'd wear a conventional watch of that size. At the same time, a smartwatch needs a bit of screen real estate. I guess it's just not the product/sector for me.

I'm interested in hearing others' perspectives on this and hoping more people will chime in.

I went with a 38 MM since my wrists are pretty small - around 150 MM. I think that size suits me better.

the 42mm is small
Everyone ask me if that's the small one when they see it

Watches are smaller in person , go to an Apple Store & check them out in person

42 mm (smart-watch look) vs. 38 mm (regular watch look)
Just because you want an over-sized watch, doesn't mean that the 38 mm is too small for others.

I'm regretting the 38 on my 170mm wrist. Pictures are different than real life. Watch is too small and looks feminine. It's going back to store.

I originally ordered a 38mm for my 155mm wrist, but have a 42mm on order. The 42mm is not scheduled to ship until May 29th.

I don't find the 38mm too small for my wrist at all.

I have 150mm wrist about same width as credit card and don't regret the 38 at all.

I have an 185 mm wrist circumference.

I bought the 42 mm for myself and the 38 mm for my wife. Honestly, I could wear either one without them looking "too big" or "too small".

Everyone can wear the 38 mm (except the biggest guys), but you should have a ~175 mm wrist before wearing the 42 mm, I would think. The credit card rule I think holds up pretty well (if your wrist is completely covered by a standard credit card length-wise along your wrist, go with the smaller watch).

I have 138mm wrist and ordered both sizes. The 42 should come first. I tried them on and liked the 42 more, but I like chunky. I have worn a Suutuno sports watch a lot and that thing is huge. But now...maybe....38 size is better. : /

So you canceled the 38 for the 42? Why?

I cancelled nothing. I'm still waiting on the 42mm. The SG 38mm will be picked up today, but I purchased a silver sport with blue band to try it out while I waited for the shipment.

The original shipping window was May 13. Didn't expect it in April.

Ok so you tested a 38 and found it too small?
I haveordered 38 and 42 with milanese.
The 38 will be deliverer monday and the 42 is still at 12-26 may.
I still would prefer 42. with sport band I think 38 is good while the 42 with sport band doesnt fit well on 150mm wrist.

When did you order the 38mm milanese?

This is perfect... unless you truly have large arms/hands. 38mm looks much better IMO.

I have a 172mm wrist.. wider than a credit card as well.

When I did the try on at the store, I felt it was too small. Now that I've had it for a few days, I think the size is just right. Sorry for the confusion.

Honestly after wearing the 42mm all weekend I can't imagine a smaller watch somehow being better unless you have really small wrists.

It looks bigger in photographs but seems like the perfect size otherwise.
