iPod touch Anyone with a preorder pissed?

What i don't like is how clueless the people at 1800myapple are.

"When the ship date for the ipod touch?"
"Sept. 28"
"You sure?"
"thats what the website says."


If everything customer service could tell you was on a website, you wouldnt need customer service. :|

anyone know if invisible shield will be shipping their product soon?

Clueless, ordering online from the Apple store is only one of many points of sale to purchase the iPod touch. Please show me something, anything that said you had some type of entitlement to have your product first.

You knew what the approximate time frame was when you placed your order. Pre-order is just that, you are placing an order prior to the product being released but with no form of guarantee that your place of purchase was going to be the first to begin distribution.

I think that is a legitimate reason to call apple and complain a little, I will be nice about it and post my results if you guys want.

Oh...Give me a break. There are people here who live outside of the US of A. Not everybody has access to Apple Stores! It is extremely unusual for apple to release a product before a Pre order date, especially when it is available in NON apple stores. I am sure that many people, including those in the US, are peed off that somebody can walk into a store and obtain something that they probably have to wait 2 weeks for.

I for one am glad that I not only pre-ordered, but chose the free engraving.

Why?

What about the screen problems? Half of the early early adopters are reporting screen problems. I hope that Apple will clear up the screen problem before mine ships! If not, I got Apple Care.

My personal taste is that I am keeping this product for years of pleasurable use. What's 1 week or 2? When we pre ordered it was acknowledging that we would see the product 1st week of October. If it's later than that, time to complain.
