Anyone's iPhone 5 still not delivered?

Reading all the activation problems going on now it's probably a good thing it's late. Not sure I could handle another level of frustration. And here I thought I was being ahead of the game but getting my @ss up at midnight to order the damn thing. LESSON LEARNED.

here my story
my story is as such.. so when verizon sent over my address on the shipping label it cut off the apartment number so i get a notification that my address is wrong, so i called FedEx to correct the mistake they correct and give me a call back like 20 minutes later saying its corrected and i should get my package before 5... so i'm like cool good to go.. 5:30 rolls around so i call them back and ask hey whats the deal, the guy says oh im sorry sir we meant to say after 5, at this point i asked him okay thats fine but are you sure its going to come i dont want to be just sitting around waiting for nothing i have things to do. the rep relies yes sir the courier said he would be back there tonight. 7:30 rolls around and ding!! i have an email, its my notifcations letting me know that my package is back at the shipping facility (now im fuming).. called back FedEx asked what the deal was?? they said oh sorry they must not have been able to get a hold of the driver but you can pick it up if you get to blah blah by 8.. the place was about 15 minutes away so i was sure i could make it.. i get in my car drive there.. the lights are off doors locked and the blinds are shut at 7:50....

It's going tone hard for me to not be an ass to this poor guy when and IF it gets delivered. Maybe I should let my wife answer the door
Dude, do you realize how many of these he has on the truck and how many extra stops he has to make? Sign for it, give him a soda and remember that today is probably the worst day of his year. Chillax.
I got mine earlier today but 2 friends who live a mile away and ordered 16 gig that were originated in nashville are still waiting or theirs to be delivered. I actually ordered theirs for them same time I ordered mine but mine was 32 gig and came from china. Here it is almost 7 pm in Los Angeles and they are still waiting on theirs cuz theirs was shipped ups next day air saver. Crazy!!
just got off the chat with ups. All iphone will have an attempted delivery today. Which mean untill 11:59PM. Usually ups driver stop around 7pm. This is going to be a long nigght

Mine was pretty funny. The UPS driver showed up in front of my driveway not less than 5 minutes after I had driven in coming home from work. Been spending the last couple hours playing with my new toy. I absolutely LOVE my iPhone 5.

Hi - created an account just to add what happened to me, twice.
Ages ago I ordered an iPad. VERY excited. UPS guy turned up about 12pm and all good.
Upon release date I ordered an iPad2. Apple now no longer use UPS but a minor delivery company called syncreon. I have never heard of them. They had been taken over by another company called UKMAIL which I had seen their vans out and about but knew nothing of them.
They lost my package, I eventually got it the following monday (4 days).
A week or so ago I ordered an iPhone5, 9am on the dot on their website - I am claustrophobic and couldn't bear the thought of queuing again, so after seeing that they deliver on the day of sale - I ordered.
Took a day off work, at my own expense. Only a few days holiday left until xmas so arranged unpaid leave. Stayed in all day. Jumped every time a diesel engine made it's place outside or near my house but nothing at all. It's 6pm. I check the tracking and then find out this.

i was in all day, then told that a card had been left one one page, and I will be sent a package on the 23rd. The 23rd is a Sunday. There was absolutely no card to be seen.
My mate 10 min down the road, same postcode area - received his at 10am.
What gives? Far prefer an honest response on the website - run out of time would piss me off but not as much as the above mistakes.
What can I do? Nothing.

Checked UPS website and it says "delivery attempted: Customer not availabe on 1st attempt at 8:45pm".... Delivery rescheduled for Monday. Awesome.
