So my hubby who hasn't shown any interest when asked if he was thinking about getting a Watch, has been borrowing my watch when he goes for walks. Started a few weeks ago when I asked him if he wanted to use my Watch and the Outdoor Walk activity app when he was going for a walk after dinner. He took me up on it and since then has asked a few times to use it. After dinner tonight he was saying he was thinking of going for a walk and I waited for it and sure enough he said "Can I borrow your Watch again?" Kind of messes up any tracking I am doing for myself (and has gotten me a few undeserved Awards in the process LOL) and I have no doubt at some point he is going to be buying one for himself. He's asked me about changing bands too. He likes to hike in the mountains on the weekend but I'm not willing to let it off my arm for that. I should probably exchange phones with him once or twice when he goes for his walk and send him a few messages so he can experience iMessages, calls and such on it.

Anyone else have an interested partner out there? What features do they seem most interested in?

My wife ordered a 42 SS, thought it was too big when it arrived. So she handed me the 42 and ordered herself a 38 SS which she wears constantly. She also informed me she wanted someone to do  Watch to  Watch messaging with.

She showed a lot of interest during the reveal last year, especially when they showed the fitness features. But, the plan for our gadget purchases this year is the Watch for me and a plus-sized iPhone for her.

My husband bought me my Watch, but has no interest in having one of his own. He's in IT but I'm the gadget junkie. He gets my old iPhone every year when I upgrade, though I think he'd be happy with a dumb phone.

My wife has zero interest and will never change. She believes all technology is evil even though she uses an iPhone and MB Air daily and expects them to never fail. And, if they do, she hates when I say "did you try rebooting" to which she says "I got you to fix all my problems".

We ordered two together. Mine is the space grey 42mm and hers is the 38mm aluminum in pink. We both wear our watches daily. PLUS it is more fun when you know people with the watch as well!

I'm thankful enough mine is a supporter of Apple (she has family who work for Microsoft:mad:). However, she refuses to even consider the need for a watch. Heck, she won't even consider an iPad. I guess a Macbook and an iPhone is all she needs.

My fiancee won't switch from android. She things Apple's products are too expensive, even if i offer to pay.

I bought her a 13" Macbook Pro since she needed a laptop, I installed Win7 with bootcamp, since certain programs only run in Windows, and she won't user MacOS.

She is really unwilling to change.

My girlfriend thinks that the Watch is the most ridiculous thing on the planet strictly because everyone else in her office was saying the same. But then she saw that Best Buy was expanding its rollout of the watch and now she's seeing things a little differently. Such a fair-weather fan...

My girlfriend thinks it's kind of cool but can't get it since she has a Galaxy S6. Her father however is on the fence as to whether he wants one or not, which is great.

I had my 42 sgs for about a week or two before my fiancé's hints about wanting one turned into standing in the apple store on market st. Picked her up a 38 sgs and she's been in love with it ever since. As mentioned before, it's a great experience when you know people with the watch.

my wife thinks its the biggest waste of time and money. Luckily I received mine as a gift or she would be really mad that i spent money on something so frivolous. I got mine in late may, but she's since warmed up to it. it's taken like 3 months though. She wore it for the first time in the car about 3 weeks ago as it was vibrating to give me directions and she was curious enough to try it on and feel it.

she didnt seem to mind it then. When the next version comes out she might warm up enough that she'll let me get her one. :D

I keep reading accounts like this, ie. someone was dead set against the watch and didn't think it was worth it, then slowly the interest crept in and now the person wants one or has one.

It's amazing to me how a new Apple release is met with widespread negativity, which then slowly melts away as people get their hands on the thing. Was the same for both the iPhone and iPad.

It's probably because Apple targets an amazing experience over all else, and that's the hardest thing to grasp without spending quality time with the product or knowing someone who has one.

I am an Apple fan and had my watch preordered on Day 1. My wife was on the fence for some time - not certain it was worth the money - even though there were clear use cases for her. Well, a couple months later she enjoys her 38mm silver Sport so much that she spent an extra $150 for a Milanese Loop.

My girlfriend was really excited when she saw mine for the first time. She really liked it. But she has a Note 4 and would have no use for the Apple watch (she does have the Samsung Gear Live with she kind of likes). Then she got a iPhone 6 plus for work (she can only use that phone for work stuff:() and said she kind of likes it more then her Note 4. I been trying to get her to get an iPhone for her next phone. If she does I might just have to buy her an Apple Watch lol. I am slowly converting her to Apple lol lol lol.....

My girlfriend has had a vivo fit for about a year. It has always had a hard time syncing to her iPhone and I guess recently it has just stopped syncing. Ever since the Watch was announced, she gave me tons of crap about it; how it's too much money, how it doesn't do much, how dumb it is... But the past two months she has started to think about getting one, she will sort of play with mine, ask me questions, and almost spontaneously bought one. Telling her to maybe wait till next year and get the new model.

Not a hope! Android user and thinks smart watches are pointless. I suspect that's still something to do with the fact his fenix I bought him won't actually sync to his phone lol...

My husband made fun of the watch when I told him I was going to get one. While waiting for the watch to arrive, he watched all the Apple watch videos with me and then decided he had to have on also.

My girlfriend said the same exact thing. However, she accompanied me to the Apple Store when I bought my Apple Watch. I'm sure she still quietly makes fun of me for wearing, it but she knows I'm a tech junkie.

Many of the biggest Apple Watch naysayers are starting to come around. It has been fun to watch. Be patient.

I would let her get one now versus waiting and chasing the next version. I truly believe that the Watch will release on a 2 year cadence with the design mostly staying the same. New watch bands will be introduced occasionally to spice things up.
