My girlfriend has had a vivo fit for about a year. It has always had a hard time syncing toTelling her to maybe wait till next year and get the new model.
Great choice.

I bought a SS Model upon release out of curiosity. Fun, but not a keeper. Sent it back. Will see what the next one has fixed. If Apple has sorted out the bugs and made improvements I may buy one.

Which changes do you expect to see that aren't being addressed in OS2?

Update to my post, and I didn't want to edit it: but she got an apple watch :D. 38mm sport white. All of our friends are saying, so you did get one, and, I thought you didn't like it?. She likes it :).

My husband keeps asking to borrow my Watch when he goes walking. Just asked a few minutes ago. I said to him, "you know I think you need to get one for yourself". He said "maybe at some point, we'll see". He obviously can use his watch to do his walking with, which he takes along with him anyway, but I think he likes the visuals right on his wrist as opposed to taking out his phone or risk carrying it out of his pocket and dropping at some point. Wonder how long it will be before I get to do a post like Goaliegeek LOL.

So my hubby who hasn't shown any interest when asked if he was thinking about getting a Watch, has been borrowing my watch when he goes for walks. Started a few weeks ago when I asked him if he wanted to use my Watch and the Outdoor Walk activity app when he was going for a walk after dinner. He took me up on it and since then has asked a few times to use it. After dinner tonight he was saying he was thinking of going for a walk and I waited for it and sure enough he said "Can I borrow your Watch again?" Kind of messes up any tracking I am doing for myself (and has gotten me a few undeserved Awards in the process LOL) and I have no doubt at some point he is going to be buying one for himself. He's asked me about changing bands too. He likes to hike in the mountains on the weekend but I'm not willing to let it off my arm for that. I should probably exchange phones with him once or twice when he goes for his walk and send him a few messages so he can experience iMessages, calls and such on it.

Anyone else have an interested partner out there? What features do they seem most interested in?

Yep. I've only had my 38mm Space Grey for a couple of days, and I've already ordered the same for my wife. She is constantly missing calls and texts, particularly at home, when her phone is not on her person (like in her purse,) so she likes the idea of having the notifications. She's also interested in the health aspect.

My wife and I both went through the same cycle of wanting one when they were announced, to not wanting one after thinking being pestered by notifications from something on our wrists, to realising how convenient it is to deal with those notifications quickly rather than digging our phones out all the time and wanting one again. So we bought them for each other for our 19th anniversary, and now we both hardly take them off except to charge at night.
She was excitedly showing her father how cool hers is when we were around there the other night :)

That's pretty much exactly what happened to us. Now my Swiss watches are getting nervous, because they may be on the chopping block, soon...

My wife has zero interest in getting an apple watch, she's very happy with her fitbit

Same plus she isn't a massive Apple fan....well I say Apple fan I mean tech fan. It doesn't really bother her.

About 6 months in the first thing I done was bought her an iPhone 5 couple years ago, she thought a blackberry was a good phone when I first met her.....*spam's forehead*

My wife, she has a Fitbit HR...I had the Fitbit Surge. before I got the Apple Watch, she did not want it what so ever. Now that I have it and have worn it for a while, she is finally going to buy one of her own. She is waiting until after the event on Wednesday before buying.

I bought my wife a nice Michael Kors watch a while back. I told her about the Apple Watch and she goes "you and your toys!".

Well I found an amazing deal on Swappa and got a 42MM SS. It came and I showed her all the things it does including the activity tracking and such and she instantly wanted one.

That is the sign of a good product by Apple in my eyes. :)

No kidding. I actually brought my wife straight to the iPhone 5 from a... flip phone! Obviously, I'm amazed that she actually wanted an Apple Watch, after seeing mine in use. :)

Yes, my wife wants one and likes the health features, and the ability to not have her phone with her while in the house. She agreed to wait until the event tomorrow to see if there is anything new/different that would impact which one she wants.

I'm the tech junkie in my house my husband always says he is fine without, but I think he secretly wants the newest things like I do. He was making fun of me for wanting an Apple Watch, then he went and looked into it and decided he wanted one too. I've had mine since June and he is yet to get one. He also gets my hand me down phones (usually because he has broken his by the time the new iPhone comes out and I upgrade to that), so I'm thinking of giving him my 42mm SGS and getting the new rose gold sport for myself. Then I will finally know someone else who has an apple watch

My husband uses a flip phone as well, so definitely the watch is not for him. And he is sick and tired of me constantly talking about my watch. He is old-school and I am the tech junkie.

My wife loves her watch, only takes it off to charge. She also still uses her Withings Pulse. We are always comparing our fitness data or sending a few taps during the day. Hopefully the next Apple Watch will include more ways to track exercise data.
