It would appear that your iPod is not on a plane. The last FedEx flight left China Friday evening; they don't fly on weekends. If it hasn't updated by now, it wasn't on that plane.

very ture. I just got off the phone with a rep, because FedEx said my shipment would arrive VERY late, on the 8th, and like, I got a free iHome! it is going to get here on wednesday, and I JUST got this email from Apple. It reads:

btw tht is wrong. as u can see, my ipod just shipped TODAY. which technically is monday in China. But yea, so, mhm, and btw, left origin Shanghai means it left, so i am not sure if it left China yet, but they do have planes going out as of today, over 5 per day. Due to the delays. like I said, a plane that usually comes to my city from NYC, was moved to China for 2 weeks to help with overflow. pcc. (and im not trying to brag about the free stuff, but i did wind up getting over $150 dollars of stuff.
I think I'm on the same boat. Mine is still in Kunshan. So you are saying that they are shipping through the holiday and mine should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday?
not really. If your order is still in Kunshan, hopefully we can gather that a plane will leave tonight again for Alaska, seeing as there are more, and um, hopefully your shipment will go out, but I don't understand why it doesn't say shipping exception, because that means it was delivered after the cut-off. I cannot tellyou for sure, but if your order was picked up already, and is still in Kunshan, it will leave tonight or tommorow, hopefully, and should have it in the estimated shipping time you ordered. Now with mine, my packeage was witheld at the airport, and my status was Shipment Exception. now when it left Shanghai, it said this:

this means it has left or is just about to leave. i am assuming it left, so, idk, but I am pretty sure it is out of China. I do hope you get yours soon adn enjoy it. And I was trying to tell you about the whole thing with the ihome, in my last post, when I messaged u.
** EDIT: this does mean it left China, and it is currently over the ocean on its way to Anckorage. It should say In Transit if it left, so, I am just assuming that when it says left origin, Kunshan, that it means it was witheld in Kunshan, rather than the airport like mine. I am not sure, all I can say is to contact FedEx International package trace Dept.(where a person will answer the phone) at 1-800-455-4588, Mon - Fri 9Am. - 6PM. I hope this helps ad you get yours soon, and btw, DONT call 1-800-GO-FEDEX if u want to track, they dont know anything. And all that email meant was that my sipment delivery date had been wrong, that is all, so idk.
I have a feeling that tomorrow morning we'll be seeing the first of many tracking number announcements on the board. There's no way Apple employees are working over the weekend, though they should after the whole Best Buy and Apple Store debacle. Man that really pisses me off. Somebody was playing with one in Church today. Steve!!!

Ya it says received after the cut off. So you are telling me that it should leave today or tomorrow so that means that they are working trough the holiday.
post what it says on fedex.com here, including the estimated delivery time(if there is one) and the status, please, and I will further be abled to answer your question( lol, i sound like customer service)

This probably means that it is at the airport and is waiting for the next aircraft so it can be loaded. It is for sure that it is NOT OUTSIDE of China because there is no Est. Shipping date, meaning that it has not gone through customs yet. And also, as I and many others received an email stating that our satus was incorrect for our est delivery time. this should not apply to you, but for those who are wondering.....

Yes, mine says the same, dude, WE ARE ON THE SAME PLANE!!! Mine is going to NY state in the US. At 7:24 AM(7:24 PM EST) it arrived in Japan, 6 hours after departing from China. Oh, btw, the holiday implies shipments that are accepted during those days. If packages are already in transit, they will continue to move, although those that want to be shipped during holiday days cannot. Today(oct 1 in china) starts national holiday, but my ipod still went out!
Where is yours going, and what week is it?
Well, the ultimate shipping adress is Palm Springs, CA, So i don't know where it will go before that. I think it's a week 39.
idk, but dude, our shipment was the like last one out that wasnt affected by the holiday, that is why they are sitting in Japan right now, because FedEx got them there quick so they wouldn't be affected by the holiday. And I got a email fomr a rep in China, right at the Shanghai facility, saying that I was lucky becasue the next shipment would be delayed til the 8th. now thats why people got the email notices about ontime delivery today from Apple, because FedEx pulled the resources to get those last few things out of the country, so I am not sure, but i think you may have to wait. Call Apple, I wound up getting an iHome, cus online it said status was the 8th, but that was b4 I got the email bout the delivery stuff, so i got a free ihome now and technically didnt deserve it! but call apple, u need to get compensation
Hey Nemesis, I'm from Cleveland but am in Athens for school, can you post the route your package took? Athens is about 3.5 hours from cleveland, so even though we're prob not on the same plane, i bet we take the same route. Thanks man.
Nevermind Nemesis, it looks like it took a detour to West Parkersburgh, WV because thats close to athens, about 20 or so minutes. I looked at the tracking info when i woke up, and it was about 20 minutes when the delivery left, so i figured i'd look down the hall to see if anyone was there. The Fedex guy knocked before i could open the door. This kid has his touch!
Well, I just woke up and checked it, and my Itouch is now currently over the Pacific Ocean, having shipped from Narita-Shi, Japan, approximately 1.5 hours ago (unless my math is wrong. damn you time zones!!!!)

Ok, come on. I just called FedEx. They changed their ETA from the 8th to the 3rd. That's good, I know. But then I called apple, and they changed their's from the 2nd to the 8th! I don't know who to believe. Does anyone know when it could be arriving? thanks.
That is so weird... the first two times and descriptions (11:41pm and 11:42pm) are exactly the same but then I don't see any other information yet... any idea why?

I called FedEx today and they told me that on account of the Golden Week holiday, that they're running a skeleton crew, and only trying to move a list of prioritized shipments. Stuff from Apple (including your touch) is on that list, and the lady told me that it's very likely that it'll move soon and be there this week, but it is possible that it wont move until Friday.
