anything like that but for tiger-snow leopard that will work well on a core duo/core 2 duo even with V3 youtube under PowerFox it struggles quite a bit on both my 2006 mac mini running tiger and my early 2009 iMac running Leopard 10.5.8 so im looking for a standard youtube player preferably one that uses quicktime 7

Because Youtube delivers audio and video streams as separate files (for everything above very low quality), AFAIK you can't stream from Youtube in QuickTime.

If you were to download a video from Youtube via e.g. yt-dlp, that should play fine, as long as you choose an h264 stream (which is available for 1080p quality and below).

The "AV1 Components" on https://mavericksforever.com/#media will additionally allow you to play 4K videos downloaded from Youtube (VP9 codec), but I don't expect a Core 2 Duo to be fast enough for that. They also require at least Snow Leopard.
